Update 9/17/2019: We have released iOS app version 3.6.1 to all users. Please update your app to this version. It is recommended to all experiencing continuous crashes and should resolve this issue.
Hi Everyone - I've merged several posts together.
We're aware of an issue that may cause some iOS users to experience a continuous crash when trying to open the app after updating to version 3.6.
To resolve this, please try to uninstall and reinstall the app from the app store. Even if you have tried this previously, please try again.
If this does not work, our team is working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution.
We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

same here, quite frustrating as i just got the new versa, not very impressed with this app crash and the device itself is giving a lot of problems (incorrect step count, bluetooth failure etc.)
Tried removing and reinstalling. Issue only appears if you kill the app (let it run in the background and it should be good), Hope there is a fix soon for this.

I could get the app to open only after uninstalling and reinstalling it. BUT--it says "device not found," even with my Fitbit is literally on top of the phone. I'm traveling and don't have that dongle thing with me so I can't use my laptop.
Is it going to be useless for the whole two weeks I'm traveling? What on earth is going on?

Apple App store has new update moments ago (Sep 17, 2019 approx 0800 GMT). Installed it and seems to be working normally.

The update makes the app work, but it cannot find my Versa. Even after rebooting both the iPhone and the watch separately, nadda. In summary: app update fixed app but now no syncing...

Hmmm ... I did the update because the iOS update killed my wifi, banking apps, fitbit app and email!? I suspect it’s incompetence by both parties in that case. Lovely.

So many users have said that after following your advice to deinstall and reinstall the app, it just crashes- so obviously not good advice!
not prepared to risk it.
How long before you resolve the problem? If this isn’t resolved soon, I will just ditch Fitbit!

I have iPhone 6 with iOS 12.4.1 & the app crashed every time I opened it after the most recent update. Tried turning phone off & back on but it didn’t help. Uninstalled & reinstalled & that did the trick.

Where did you get this update? Not appearing in App Store updates.

I found the update in ios app store. It didn't show at first but I pulled the app down to refresh it and it then appeared.
Maybe it's taking its time to get to everyone
