Ace 2 not syncing

Both my kids have an Ace 2. I have an iPhone XR running iOS 13.3. The devices aren’t even discoverable so I can’t sync. The Fitbit keeps telling me no devices found when trying to sync with either device. It worked once or twice last week but nothing since then. 
I have followed all the steps of restarting Bluetooth, restarting phone, restarting Ace 2, deleting the app, etc. all the advice on these boards has been followed. We even attempted to pair with my husband’s older iPhone 6s and he has the same issue. Devices are not discoverable. 
Please help or I will have no choice but to return these devices if they won’t function as supposed to.
