Ace 3 won't sync after migrating to Google

Our family has been using Fitbit Ace watches for 2 years now. I was always able to sync them to my phone to see my kid's stats, etc.

Fitbit recently forced users to switch to Google accounts and after creating accounts for my kids, I still couldn't see their stats. After spending over 30 minutes on the phone with customer service, they informed me that Android phones do not support more than 1 account, and that my kids will need their own devices in order to do updates, see statistics, etc.

I am not going to purchase devices for each of my children just so we can do what was very simple, previously.

This switch to Google is incredibly frustrating and NOT at all helpful. I would NOT recommend that anyone purchase these watches for their family unless they want to be prepared to buy extra devices for them as well.

I want to buy FITBITs for XMAS for my elderly parents and I am moving in with them due to mental decline.  I currently in another state and spend too much time helping them with cameras, bills and caregivers so moving to where they are.  I have cheap amazon devices and want to get them FITBIT and they have no mobile phone.  They won't need one.  Can't drive a care anymore.  please help me to give them this technology as I want help seeing how well they sleep and other aspects I cannot get from cheap device but I REFUSE TO BUY THEM EACH A MOBILE PHONE FOR SCAMMERS.  They don't need MOBILE PHONE as they are NOT MOBILE!

Hello, same problem here. Did you get an answer from fitbit or google in this case? Is there a solution to this problem? My daughter has a tablet but even there I can't sign her in. Google asks every time to add personal data to the google account of my child like the full name and the birthdate, wich I already did and still it asks me this again and again... I am kinda losing it right now... 🤯
