Can't switch to kids view

I just bought both of my kids the Fitbit ace 2. When I created their profile in the family section it then explains to switch to kid view. When I switch to kid view it hangs out on the loading screen and eventually shuts down the app and I have to log in and try again. What is the problem Fitbit? I’ve updated my phone and the app, I’ve restarted everything and nothing is working. I bought these for my kids and I can’t use them because of this problem. When will I get an answer? I called the customer support number and my fiancé reached out on Fitbit support on Twitter and we still have no answers. Don’t you think this is something you should tell people about so we don’t spend money on a device that we can’t use????? HELP ME PLEASE! I specifically chose these over the garmin vivofit 2 because my fiancé and I use Fitbit but I’m really starting to regret that decision.

wow I am having the same exact issue. I just got a Fitbit charger 4 for myself and my daughter wanted one. So I got her the ace 2. Just spinning when I try to add her account. Can't believe this has been a problem since 2018.

Unfortunately I’m having the same issue: running Fitbit app version 3.24.1 on a iPhone 8 (iOS 13.5.1), whenever I try to switch to kid view (Ace 2, purchased & set up yesterday) the progress wheel spins endlessly on a “Switching to Kid View” screen. Force-quitting, logging back in and trying again; deleting and reinstalling the app; restarting the phone; toggling Bluetooth off and on... nothing has fixed it.

I’m also having this issue on both an IPhone 11 and an iPhone 7.

FITBIT!!! PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!!!!

I’ve tried reloading the app- didn’t work. I’ve tried deleting the app then re-installing- didn’t work. I can’t update my child’s account. Looks like this has been going on for a while. Please find a fix! I’m feeling like my money was wasted!

So, I figured out a work around. My husband, who doesn't have a Fitbit, downloaded the app onto his iPhone and created an account. He was able to add our daughter to his family profile and we were able to set it up that way. He has no issues switching to child's view while I still can't. For me to be added as a guardian to HIS family account, I have to wait until Fitbit deletes the child account I had created under my name. (Not sure why it isn't done right away).
it was a real pain and I will probably not buy another Fitbit, but at least I got it to work so my daughter is happy.
I hope this helps.

I know this is a pain, but try logging out of your account and making an account that does not have a fitbit linked to it already. For instance, we made one for my husband who does not have a fitbit. Under his account (without a fitbit for him), we created a family and added our daughter.  For some reason, it let us go right into child view once we were logged into his account and we were able to set up our daughter's ace 2 that way. Now, we are going to add me as a guardian to that account, but have to wait until Fitbit process my request to remove the family account I made under my profile. (Can't be in two families at once). It is a total pain, but it made for a happy daughter and she is able to log into her phone to see her progress.

Thanks! Sounds like a right faff! We’ve notified Fitbit again so will see how long it takes to fix it!

My little boy is absolutely gutted he’s not been able to use his watch for so long.

The watch is only 6 months old and is clearly not fit for purpose. I want a refund I think. What a load of rubbish!

Hey, I called Fitbit. Instead of trying to switch to kids view, add the device straight from the main screen as if it was a new device. Then it will sync. The kids view is what they’re having issues with.

@LucyLu86  you didn't reply to moderator @LiliyaFitbit who posted a few pages back. Did you update your app?

Also, see if anything in this thread helps you.

The problem with doing it this way is that it is synched with my own fitbit so my steps show on my daughter's fitbit versus her own.

Adding my daughter's ace 2 as a device worked but I still can't see her step/sleep info from the app. Also every single step that ice taken today showed up on my daughter's Fitbit. I don't think this is a resolution. Fitbit needs to fix the switch to child mode ASAP.

I’m having this issue too. I just bought Fitbit Ace2’s for my kids and it’s not switching to kids view. My one daughters Fitbit is actually showing my step count?
