Alta HR setup issues

I've been using my Alta HR for a year or more, suddenly it stopped syncing so I tried to reset te device and setup it again. The app shows the message "We found your device" but does not go further. 

 

I have checked the list of compatible and not compatible devices, my telephone isn't in any of these but it used to work, so I don't think that it is the problem.

Thanks for troubleshooting this syncing issue. If you can't now setup your device, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and follow the instructions provided there.

My issue is essentially the same, except I'm trying to set up my AltaHR on a new computer.  I occasionally get the 4-digit number, but then it says "we ran into an issue setting up your device" and it goes no further.
