Recently I noticed the battery charge level icon does not change after a charge is done. It does not seem to be working correctly. Along with another issue about how long the charge is lasting. Could recent updates be what is causing this problem? Wondering if a reinstall of the App might correct this issue? Also are the Updates suppose to come from Google play store? Just to add is the battery replaceable and how is that done?
Hello @SunsetRunner
I just saw this post and thought I’d try and assist you. It wouldn’t hurt to try and do a restart of your Fitbit Alta HR. You will not lose any data doing this: Here’s how:
To answer your question about if the battery is replaceable and the answer to that is no. Also to answer another question you had is yes your app should come from the google play store and as far as updating if you have your device set up to auto update it will update on it’s on otherwise you have to manually update your Fitbit App.
i hope I’ve provided you with a solution to your questions. Please let me know

Best AnswerHello @SunsetRunner
what device are you installing the Fitbit App on (the version of of the device)? I wondering if it’s compatible with the new Fitbit App. You can check that information here: https://www.fitbit.com/devices

It’s worth a shot removing the anti virus just to see if it interferes with the apps function but it would be alarming that you are forced to not use an anti virus program due to a conflict. If the ends up being the case I would call Fitbit Customer Service to ask if there is any workaround or something you can do that you can have both the app and your protection.
