The place where the band attaches to the fitbit has cracked on both sides and now the strap won't stay attached. I got it in April... is this common?

I had an Alta HR for three years and had the same problem with the strap. It was replaced under warrantee, but I also bought some straps on Amazon. I found those to be more comfortable, so I stuck with them, even after I got my replacement strap from Fitbit.
