Corrupted display

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I noticed one day last week that my display on my Alta HR is messed up. It's like the top half is "scrambled". I have gotten it wet or damaged it in any way.

Anyone else have this issue?  Is it fixable?  I've had this fitbit for about a year or so.

Any help would be appreciated.

So part of the numbers should be missing?!  It was NEVER like that until a few days ago.

Thanks for getting back to us and for providing a better picture of your device @Ruth407. Could you please confirm that you have restarted your Alta:

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. Your tracker will begin charging.

  3. Press the button on your charging cable 3 times within a few seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
  4. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

I'll be waiting for your response.

I am having the same issue.  I called Fitbit Tech Support and they said that mine was out of warranty and they offered me a coupon for 25% off one of their current models.  I'd really like to resolve this faulty unit.

I've been having this problem with my tracker for a few weeks now. Seems to be intermittent, and I've reset it. I've been getting the pixelation and screen dimness. It's at the point I can't even take a picture of the pixelation because the screen is so dim, it's almost  none existing.

Mine was so much worse than all these photos then it just went blank after trying to reset it several times unsuccessfully. I think it is done for. It was like a bunch of random dots and dashes before it went blank and would not turn on at all.
