Discrepancy between Fitbit Alta HR and Fitbit App

My Fitbit isn't matching my app. My watch will say 2000 cals burned, while the app says 1557. Also the app has just changed completely since I previously used it. It no longer shows, sleep, heartrate or steps. I finally found the area to add things but it won't allow me to, stating :you require a Fitbit that measures heartrate" (mine does), and one even said "only available on Fitbit devices". Are you kidding me? I literally had these stats available last time I used my Fitbit. I've tried everything, I'm just so frustrated.

I've had this problem last few years.  Plus other issues. Finally broke down and called fitbit and I get a person who sounds robotics and a generic email about no longer warranted. But I just wanna know what and why.. happened

I had the same problem. I ended up doing the following on my iPhone

1. Restart the Alta HR

2. Forget the device from the Bluetooth list

3. Delete the app from the phone.

4. Reboot the phone

5. Reinstall the Fitbit app from the Apple Store

6. Open the app then go to the menu (button on upper left of screen) + Set Up a Device and follow the steps to connect the device.
