My Fitbit Alta switches off the moment its charging plug is removed. I have tried restarting it by pressing the micro switch three times within 8 seconds, however after rebooting also the problem persists. Moreover, the display works when it is plugged on and shows the battery as fully charged, However moments after removing the charging plug, it goes dead and no amount of taping is able to bring it to life. This problem started exactly a year after flawless performance. Please help

I am having the same problem as everyone else. I even went through the "chat" adviser. I think the next step is returning it since it is only a few months old and should still be under warranty.

I am having the same problem. I have had my Alta for 2+ years, but this summer, while in California, it started acting up (charging, showing full charge, then within 1 hour completely dead)
Can anyone help?

My Fitbit was fully charged and after walking 2 miles on Saturday, when I wanted to check my steps for sure, when tapped it would not respond, nor would it when I flexed my wrist. I checked on Community for answers and found where it said to restart my Alta HR, which I have tried several tomes to no avail. This Fitbit was just purchased in March of this year. It is my third fitbit and the first I have had trouble of this nature.
So, now what do I do? I hate to give up on it, but I am at a loss and really cannot afford to buy another. Thank you for any kind of help you can give me. Also how do I check to see when you respond? I hope you will email me at my email and not to MaginB.

Hi everyone! Good to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums and welcome to the new ones! 🙂
@ramjasthi, what is exactly going on with your Alta? If it's not turning on, what happens when you put it to charge, are you able to see anything coming up on the display? Have you tried to restart your Alta?
If not, You can easily do this by clipping your tracker to the charger and plugging the charger to a USB port on your computer or a wall charger. Then, Press the button on your charging cable three times within four seconds and your tracker should vibrate and show the Fitbit logo. This will make your tracker to reboot.
Let me know how that goes!
@Gator76, I'm sorry about that. Was the Chat Support Team not able to help you out with this? If you'd like more assistance, let me know. I'll be happy to help you out!
@LindaandLinus @fishergal I've gone ahead and escalated your case to the Support Team. You should be receiving an email shortly with more instructions. If you need more help, I'm here to help!
@Huggarat2, you could also try the suggestions I gave @ramjasthi and see if that helps.
if you guys need anything else, I'm always around!
