There is no button on my charger. I replaced my original charger several months ago, after it stopped working.
The replacements worked well for almost 6 months, now its bearly holding a charge for 6 hrs.
Fitbit Alta less than 1 yr old.

Display on my Alta remains blank after syncing. Tried pressing the button on the charging cord, seeing the Fitbit logo and model #, but it did not correct it. What should I try now? Thanks

I hear your pain. My partner bought this as a gift for me and it never worked from the day it came out of the box. She dosn't have a lot of money so it's even worse she spent her savings on a total piece of junk. Fibitbit asked me to send a video of it not working. The only video they will get (when I can be bothered wasting more time on this) is one where I am smashing it to pieces with a hammer. I can send you the video if you like.

My Fitbit Alta HR stopped displaying anything, too. It was totally fine yesterday but today there is nothing. It still vibrates when I get a text, call, or hit 10,000 steps, but nothing displays on the screen. I have tried restarting it several times but it still shows the charging battery screen. No logo or anything else pops up. I have only had this fitbit for a couple months so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be working fine. It is still tracking my steps and all that stuff but the screen stays blank until I plug it in, and then it only displays the charging battery thing. That makes me think the display is still working, so what the heck?! If I can’t get it to restart (i’ve tried like 5 times now) what else can I do?
I would really love to see this video, as well. These things are too expensive to malfunction after a short period of time.

Just as an update for the video, I am planning to doing it this week. I am concerned about my accuracy with a sledgehammer despite practicing, so I have bought three more Fitbits in case I miss the first one. Second hand Fitbits are so incredibly cheap. Obviously because they don't work.
BlueStockingGal. A hammer is much cheaper than all the time it takes to get a response out of Fitbit despite them 'escalating' the issue.

I have a fit bit ALta HR that I would like to reset. My cord that came with the unit does not have a button on the end as seen in the videos. I am at a loss with how to reset this. Spent a lot of time with this and would like to see something written about devices with cords that DONT have a button if possible.
Many thanks.

Nothing you say works, it's just black.
@CindyFitbit wrote:A warm welcome to the Community @Alicia22! That's weird! First, please restart your tracker by following this instructions step by step:
1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any USB power adapter.
2. Insert the other end of the cable into the port on the back of your Fitbit Alta. Your Alta will begin charging.
3. Press the button on your charging cable three times within eight seconds, briefly pausing between presses. The button is on the end of the charging cable that is plugged into your computer.
4. Eight seconds after the first button press, you'll see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This means Alta is restarting.
5. After you see the logo you can unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
After that, please make sure of charging it fully.
Let me know how it goes!

I have been discussing this problem in another forum but have had no response. I have tried this suggested remedy several times and I can get the fitbit Alta to work for about 5 minutes then it switches off again. Other people in the forum have the same problem and all our fitbit watches stopped within 2 days of each other.
There is some serious problem with so many failing at the same time and I would appreciate some constructive feedback.
I was called Shema as my title.

I have never seen so many complaints for a brand. Is it even legal to sell a product that you know doesn't work? Isn't that fraud?
I'm the same boat as everyone else. Spent $140 for something that never worked. Fitbit you should be ashamed of yourselves and at the very least be held accountable for continuing to sell product that clearly doesn't work properly and you know it.

Maybe they should consider a re brand and call it the **ahem**bit. Far more accurate.
