I have recently upgraded to a Samsung A70 (android pie 9) but I can't get my alta to pair with it. It'll connect to sync the information but not pair so I am unable to see my text and call notifications. Any suggestions for resolving this issue. Thanks

@Posie79 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
Let me help you pairing your Alta device. Let's start by clearing the bluetooth connection by going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. You can find additional suggestions here.
Let me know how it goes.

Best AnswerI have the same problem, I have an Alta HR and I had a Samsung Galaxy A5 phone, and since I changed my phone to a Galaxy A70, the Bluetooth connection won't work. I can sync the Fitbit-app and see my steps and everything else, but there is no connection that sends notifications from my phone to my alta hr. I tried every tip and trick that I found online, but it won't work. Can this be solved by updating the phone or the fitbit app? Just wait untill the next updates?
Best AnswerI have the same issue also. Any idea when this will get fixed please?
I recently contacted the Fitbit helpdesk and they answered this:
Hi Natalie,
Thank you for contacting Fitbit. We're sorry to hear that your issue hasn't been resolved. After extensive testing, we have determined that your device is not compatible with Fitbit products. To find more information about incompatible devices, see (link fitbit).
Please visit (link fitbit) for a list of tested devices that work with Fitbit products.
Thank you for reaching out.
Sincerely,
-> So there is no solution. Or replace the phone, or replace the fitbit. The Alta HR and the Galaxy A70 won't work together.
Hi I have a Charge 2 and changed phone to Samsung A70 will not pair.
Is this due to phone or fitbit.
I have tried all the suggestions numerous times. No luck.
Can anyone help?
Best AnswerNope. There's no solution atm. They seem to be having compatibility issues with several newly released phones. The fitbit guys will just tell you to buy a different phone..
400e phone vs 100e fitbit.. guess which one I changed..
Not sure how or why but my Fitbit is now displaying text messages where as before it wouldnt. I'm guessing it's the app update that it did a couple of days ago. I've also not seen any of the annoying 'cant pair' messages either so hopefully its sorted now.
Best AnswerThe response from fitbit is shocking. How about fitbit get their act together and make their product compatible with new phones on the market. I'm really annoyed my charge 2 wont sync and yet my really old iphone no problem.
Have a look at this post. It might help:

Best AnswerI recently upgraded and had the same issue. I'd get as far as pairing the numbers but nothing worked. Super frustrating.
I had to go back to my old phone sync it back to that then unpair it. Once it unpaired, it worked on my new A70.
Hope that works for you.
