Fitbit Update: 3/6/19
Hello everyone!
We have some updated troubleshooting suggestions we'd like for all of you on Android Pie (9.0) to try.
First, turn off Background Restrictions/Limitations: Phone settings > Apps & Notifications > Fitbit app > Background restrictions or Background limits.
Then, disable battery limitations:
Please give the steps above a try to improve syncing with your Fitbit device and Android 9.0 OS. We're still researching and testing out long-term solutions to this ongoing syncing issue. We thank you for all your patience while we continue to work on this effort.

Hey Everyone!
Our team is still working on implementing a longterm fix for syncing with Android devices on Pie (9.0).
For the background syncing issue, I have posted an update in the other floated thread which you can find here.
We released Fitbit for Android version 2.80 today which contains improvements for that syncing issue.
I'll make sure to keep you all updated with more information, as soon as I have it available. We're still working on this and I really appreciate everyone's patience.

Fitbit Update: 9/10/18
Hi, everybody!
Thanks for your patience while our team continues to work on improving syncing for those on Android Pie (9.0). They are actively working on this and for the time being, I recommend you keep the Fitbit app updated on the latest version for best syncing results. Right now that is version 2.78, so if you're not on this version please update! Also, another troubleshoot we recommend is performing a restart on your phone.
When there are more improvements made in the future I'll announce them here. Stay tuned and subscribed to this thread.

Hi, everyone! Thanks for stopping by the Community Forums. ![]()
Seems like many of you who updated to Android Pie (9.0) are now having trouble syncing your Fitbit trackers. I'm going to escalate this to our team so they can look into it.
In the meantime, please update the Fitbit app to version 2.76.1 if you haven't yet. Let me know if that changes the syncing behavior. Please follow this thread for updates. I'll keep you all posted here!

I've updated to the latest version of the Fitbit app (and restarted my phone and a few other things with thet app and bluetooth for good measure) but my One still won't sync. Did you do anything special to get it to work? I kept thinking an update would fix it 😞
I finally got mine to work as follows:
Delete then Reinstall the app
Go into you Bluetooth settings and unpair the versa from there
Go to the Fitbit app then do the set up
As long as it still had the versa paired to Bluetooth under the settings it wouldn't connect from the app.

Best AnswerI updated my Fitbit app yesterday 8/24 on my Pixel 2 running Android Pie. I am still not able to sync my Fitbit one to my app. The One shows up in my list of available devices, but it will not pair with my pixel 2.
I've worn a Fitbit since you first released the ultra. This is the first time I'm really disappointed in your technical support. Why hasn't this syncing issue been fixed? Guess I'll have to check out other trackers. #ReallyDisapointed
Many Fitbit One users had their devices basically destroyed, last year when Fitbit pushed the 6.64 firmware upgrade. Our Ones would go from being fully charged to completely empty in a matter of minutes. If you plug it into charge, it would show as fully charged. Definitely a software issue. They never attempted to fix it. One people got new Ones, most didn't. They want to stop supporting the one and move them to a new more expensive device. Most One users love their device. The new devices didn't have some of the features. I would up buying two used One's ( one as a backup) with the previous version of firmware (6.60). I refuse to download any software updates. This is an Android 9 issue. Tech support has been non-existent.
This has been going on long enough. How can you not have a fix for this yet? My Fitbit is worthless since I upgraded to Android Pie. There is a reason that Google and Apple make new releases available to developers months before they go live. So that you can find and fix these problems before your customers have issues. Does Fitbit just not care anymore?
This is ridiculous. Please make this right.
I am in the same boat as many others - udated my phone (Pixel 2) to Andriod 9 and syncing with my Fitbit Zip stopped. I can occasionally get it to sync by forcing the Bluetooth connection. I love my Fitbit but the 3 week delay (so far) in getting a fix out and lack of regular updates from FB support is frustrating.
Like so many others, my Versa is no longer syncing with the app (says tracker not found.) I tried updating to Fitbit app to version 2.76.1, but it didn't help me out.
I've got a Pixel 1 running Android 9. If I restart my One, then open the Fitbit app on my phone. It will sync 90% of the time. The times it doesn't, I restart my phone and it will sync. Not convenient, but a work around. The connection seems to stay active for 10 - 20 minutes.
I'm using v2.77 of the Fitbit app. My Charge HR, which I had for a couple years, stopped charging and syncing. Just assumed it was dead. Bought a new one ... same problem. Can't add either to the app. It finds it, and puts the number in there, but won't download the firmware update. My Flex2 syncs erratically. I hope you guys can fix this. I'm losing confidence ...
