Fitbit Update: 3/6/19
Hello everyone!
We have some updated troubleshooting suggestions we'd like for all of you on Android Pie (9.0) to try.
First, turn off Background Restrictions/Limitations: Phone settings > Apps & Notifications > Fitbit app > Background restrictions or Background limits.
Then, disable battery limitations:
Please give the steps above a try to improve syncing with your Fitbit device and Android 9.0 OS. We're still researching and testing out long-term solutions to this ongoing syncing issue. We thank you for all your patience while we continue to work on this effort.

Hey Everyone!
Our team is still working on implementing a longterm fix for syncing with Android devices on Pie (9.0).
For the background syncing issue, I have posted an update in the other floated thread which you can find here.
We released Fitbit for Android version 2.80 today which contains improvements for that syncing issue.
I'll make sure to keep you all updated with more information, as soon as I have it available. We're still working on this and I really appreciate everyone's patience.

Thanks so much for your patience and cooperation. We are aware of the issue and working with Google on a solution.
I will continue to provide updates here, so keep an eye on this thread.
Fitbit Update: 9/10/18
Hi, everybody!
Thanks for your patience while our team continues to work on improving syncing for those on Android Pie (9.0). They are actively working on this and for the time being, I recommend you keep the Fitbit app updated on the latest version for best syncing results. Right now that is version 2.78, so if you're not on this version please update! Also, another troubleshoot we recommend is performing a restart on your phone.
When there are more improvements made in the future I'll announce them here. Stay tuned and subscribed to this thread.
Fitbit Update: 8/19/18
We have escalated these syncing issues for those who are now using Android Pie (9.0) to our team for investigation. There aren't any updates at the moment, but rest assured we will keep you informed in this thread when more information is available.
Thanks for your patience!
Fitbit Update: 8/11/18
Hi, everyone! Thanks for stopping by the Community Forums.
Seems like many of you who updated to Android Pie (9.0) are now having trouble syncing your Fitbit trackers. I'm going to escalate this to our team so they can look into it.
In the meantime, please update the Fitbit app to version 2.76.1 if you haven't yet. Let me know if that changes the syncing behavior. Please follow this thread for updates. I'll keep you all posted here!

I have wondered whether anyone has a Zip that works properly with Pie on any phone. ??

Hmm, I start to get responses, let's collect more, and see if it helps. Somehow this should be done by fitbit (to be fair, they probably do, but releasing the data in public should help identifying some sort of pattern). Is it that hard to have some user-facing issue tracker?

Hello everyone.
Thanks for sharing your experiences and continuing to offer steps that have helped you all.
To all those that have not had the chance, please do try the steps listed in this help article. There is a chance that they can help you get your Fitbit to sync.
To those that have already tried them, thanks for taking the time and sharing all of the details that you have shared about this situation. As soon as we have any updates we will be sure to let everyone know.
Thanks for your time and patience.

To the contrary! If you have not gone through the above steps, and your time has any value to you whatsoever, do not waste it on this. They won't work, and many of them (like reseting network settings) will cause you to lose information. Especially if you have a One or a Zip, NOTHING HERE WORKS and you shouldn't waste your time. And moderator and other Fitbit support people, I hope you at least feel some shame for continuing to suggest people waste their time as a cover for Fitbit not having a real solution.

Made a mistake in publishing the form submissions

Funnily there are people selecting May 2019 patch level at this time. Anyway I color coded some of the fields (namely the first question, and the question asking patch level, as the issue should be fixed in April 2019 patch).
Feel free to submit more entries to the form (whether your device works or not)

No personal data is collected, so DO NOT include your personal information in it, thanks.

great initiative, thanks.
however I haven't responded as my 'not working' is a bit different.
my Charge 2 and Nokia 6 sync but notifications and GPS connect don't work since the Charge 2 won't pair with my phone.
if you like, 'syncing' only partly works.
I am not sure if other trackers have other features that should 'sync' with the phone app
I am guessing things like reminders to move etc don't work either

@Jeffrey04 Thanks. Good initiative.
Added my info regarding two devices, and what helped me get my old one to work again.
Sad, SO SAD Fitbit is not taking action, even though my gut feeling says it's partially a android problem with the renewed low-energy BT settings...

I just upgraded my phone to Android Pie, and my Fitbit Blaze has stopped syncing. I unpaired it now, and it can't even pair back to my phone anymore. I tried all the recommended "solutions" but none of them worked.
This is a terrible experience. This is my second Fitbit that I've owned that has run into issues (my first Fitbit was the Charge where the band kept breaking, so I kept getting a replacement until it went out of warranty). Is there any updates on when this will be fixed? If it doesn't get fixed soon, I'm just going to give up on Fitbit.

Tracker: charge 3
Phone: Samsung S9+
OS: 9.0 Pie
My current situation is like a lot of peoples can't sync my tracker at all. None of the trouble shooting tips have made a difference. Now my change 3 will kill it's self from full charge in 24ish hours. If I can get the tracker to turn on operating it is near impossible. The screen will fade in incredibly slowly and if I'm lucky will respond to touch else it just slowly fades out
Any update on this issue would be great I'm getting really tired of owning a useless fitness tracker.

@CKorthoudt @CardiganWearer thanks
Hmm, surprisingly the April patch didn't fully fix the problem as expected. While it works for me and some other people, but there are still people not having much luck.

I asked for a refund and was told that I'm beyond the 45 day window. This is some serious chutzpah, because of course the only reason I've waited so long is the continued assurances that a fix is coming.
At this point, I've definitely lost all loyalty to this company.

Anyone else notice that the moderators have totally stopped responding to complaints about this issue? The fact that Fitbit hasn't found a solution for this issue that has existed for OVER 8 MONTHS is astounding.

Is this related to the update? I have a Huawei P20. During yet another day of disappointment with my Versa I have discovered that the reason it no lo get provides me with maps of my runs is because the GPS on auto tracker is off. Can anyone please provide me with a work around to stop this please? I have a £200 watch made of plastic that does little else other than tell me what time it is.. I realise I can track from my phone and get the map that way but its a.bit like having a dog and barking yourself The problem appears to be the app not sharing info with the watch but also realised the Bluetooth on the watch is also switching itself off? Why?
