Fitbit Update 04/24/2017: Hi everyone -- Our Android team appreciates everyone's feedback in this thread and are working to fully implement the new Android Dashboard in the upcoming 2.48 release.

I am closing this thread as all feedback has been captured and reviewed by our team. Thanks again for all of your constructive feedback as we continue to improve Fitbit products and services.

Fitbit Update 10/04/2016: Hello Android Community! Some of you may have took notice that your Fitbit app has updated and you now have the option to view the new Android Dashboard (see screenshot below).

andrrroiiiidd.pngThe new Dashboard design for Android is currently only available to our external closed beta group. We currently have the beta group closed, but some of you old school Fitbit beta users, were able to get in before we closed the group to the public.

For those of you in the beta, feel free to share your feedback so I can pass it along. I will have a more concrete timeline of official release to share with everyone when I get a confirmed date. We're taking our time to make sure the features are all working up-to-par. Thank you in advance for the feedback!

I really like the old dashboard and will give up Fitbit for another product. Old dashboard is much more user friendly.

@DEL3365 welcome aboard! Greetings from the Community. Cat HappyHeart I definitely understand where you're coming from and my personal opinion I'd say to give a try to the new dashboard.Cat Tongue Make sure your app has been updated to its latest version to make sure you are getting the best out of your Fitbit app for Android. To see what version of the Fitbit app is installed on your device:

  1. Tap the menu button.
  2. Tap Help.
  3. Tap Fitbit App.

To update the Fitbit app:

  1. Open the Google Play store on your device.
  2. Tap the menu button.
  3. Tap My Apps and choose the Fitbit app.
  4. Tap Update. If you want automatic updates in the future, check the Allow automatic updating box.

Give it a try and post me back! Cat Wink

@DEL3365- At this point in time there is no reason that you cannot go back to the old dashboard, is there?  I happen to like the new design, but I see I still have the option to go back to the old one if I wanted to.

@USAF-Larry you're absolutely right! Gosh, how could I have missed that? Smiley LOL Thanks for the reminder though!

@DEL3365 just like @USAF-Larry said, there is no reason why you can't temporarily switch back to the old dashboard. To do so:

  1. On the dashboard, open the Account tab.
  2. Tap Advanced Settings.
  3. Tap Switch back to old dashboard.

Catch you later!

Just received the new look. Love it.

The arguement here isn't about the new look (for the most part) but about the functionality. There probably wouldn't be much of a discussion here otherwise ....

I've moved forward to the new dashboard, but I much prefer the old
dashboard. Thanks!

Why give the programmers the satisfaction. If you like the old dashboard then use it!

Check back in my old posts. I explain it very well (so I thought)!

NEW dashboard is displaying inaccurate info. Excessive amount of sleep reported but interestingly if click on icon the accurate info is recorded. The very bottom number is listed as a negative for some reason.

Yup  I have already done that.  Just do not like the new version and after reading some of the comments on this thread there seem to be even more reasons to dislike it that i hadnt even found.  My biggest complaint was the layout and not as easy on the eyes as the old version.  Why change something when you already have a great product?

Wish theyd just listen to the people who support them and go back to the old app which was just perfect!

Best Answer

Maybe they'll start caring when they start losing customers that support them.  I should have left when my Charge HR broke yet again.  It was the third one I bought and didnt want to get another so i kept using super glue to keep it together.  That plastic band underneath that held the charging cable in kept coming off, and then the button fell out.  So in November i bought the Charge 2, sorry i did that.  When it breaks I will probably listen to my husband and buy the band he has.  His has lasted through all of mine.  I used to tell everyone buy Fitbit it is awesome, not so happy with them now.  New is not always better Fitbit!

Yup.  I had a charge HR and it kept breaking also.  The last one i bought myself because they gave me such a hard time.  And it kept coming about also at the plastic bracket underneath that holds charging cable.  I kept super glueing it together until the button finally fell out.  In november i bought a Charge HR.  So sorry i did that.  My husband has another band that has outlasted all of mine.  Think i'll change to that when this one goes.  Tired of spending money on crap!

YES, I agree.  I like to see the historical data also. .water, hours active...the blank screens for those cause me to think , look back, etc open other pages. When before, I could just scroll previous days and it was displayed "at a glance'. Seems like a step backwards with the new dashboard.

I don't like the new dashboard.  The stats don't update after supposedly syncing.  Now my synch has stopped functioning completely.  This all happened after the new dashboard.  But either way, my FitBit Flex refuses to synch now.  Hasn't synced since December 22.  Great.  I've only had the Fitbit for a year and already it's pretty much useless.

Thanks for stopping by @dagan! Let's go ahead and find a solution for the syncing issue your tracker is currently experiencing. First I recommend a restart:

  1. Plug your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Remove the pebble from the wristband and insert it into the charging cable.
  3. Insert a paperclip into the small pinhole on the back of the charger.
  4. Press on the pinhole for 3-4 seconds.
  5. Take your tracker out of the charger and insert it back into the wristband.

Then, I recommend setting up your tracker as a replacement (Don't unpair it first). To do so, follow these steps:

  1. On the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account tab.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your tracker and follow the onscreen instructions to continue.

Let me know if that helps! Oh and on a different note, please keep in mind that the tiles below the daily stats tile show your most recent information, even if you're looking at your stats for another day. To view your stats for a previous day, tap the individual tiles to see your history. Catch you later! Smiley Happy
