I've had an issue for a few months now where my logged food doesnt accurately show up on the main screen icon, and instead have to open the full food log to view my calories.
Starting yesterday, the food log is not displaying my calories at all after adding them. Hours later, they might show up, along with all my other attempts to log my food. It's been a mess, and I've had to resort to just writing it all down.
Customer Support told me to log out, restart my phone, log back in, and try logging. That didn't work. Then they said to uninstall the app and reinstall the app. That didn't work either. I'm still having this issue today, and it's quite frustrating because it's like the main thing I use this app for.
Is this some bug that just needs addressed in an update? My app is up to date, having an update done two days ago. Anyone else having this issue?
Edit: I would like to add that this only seems to affect the quick calories input. Any specific measured food I add seems to show right up, but since I use quick calories throughout most of the day, I cant accurately track my food anymore.

Is this still an issue? I'm experiencing problems that resemble the OP's description, but that post was made over two months ago. Is this really still not fixed?

Yes it is still an issue with NO UPDATES from Fitbit. @LizzyFitbit what is going on? The last release did NOT fix the issues

It's really not fixed. And while some people are saying it happens when you add custom foods, that hasn't been my experience. It's been happening for a couple of months - only seeing my food and calories when on the food page of the app, not the opening page of the app. During that time period I added a custom food and that accelerated the problems but hadn't caused it. I understand that some are choosing to input their calories on the website rather than through the app and I get it that it works, but we shouldn't have to do that. Fitbit has had more than enough time to fix this problem. These smartwatches aren't cheap and neither is the Premium membership.

I finally said the heck with it and moved to tracking via my fitness pal. It's kind of a pain because I have to start all over with frequent foods etc, but I am starting to get used to the app and think once you get used to it, it's better than FB food tracking anyway

Yep. I refused to use MFP for my entire fitness journey because it was so confusing but with this situation ive had to learn to use it and i enjoy it so much more than FB food tracking at this point. I do still want the fix and its absolutely ridiculous this has taken months but i am probably going to use MFP from now on. I track my macros more than anything and FB refused to do anything about it so. 🤷🏻:female_sign:

I tried MFP for a few days, but I didn't like it. It does have a better database, but I found that many items I couldn't add by weight (some foods just had quantity, and I didn't see a way to add by weight). And I didn't want to pay for it so there are the ads and no macros.
To each their own.

There's been many comments about using my fitness Pal ,but I don't want yet another app. I liked the fact that Fitbit did it all until the last update, now none of the food logging makes sense when going into the macros. And there has been many a time when I lose all the info from the previous few days uggh.

Hi,
Please can we get an update on this issue?
Since the issue began I have been able to update to v3.62, but it has not helped.
My 'today' tile does not update, my graphs in the nutrition section are off, and the 'nutrients' are a joke. (really? After my breakfast of low fat youghurt and fruit, I've had 1056000mg of vitamin A and 1501g of fat? I bet that 1225g of fiber is legit too...)
Have updated and restarted both my fitbit and android devices, to no avail, and uninstalling and reinstalling only serves to delete my logged data.
Nutrition tracking is really what I use the fitbit app for, and these issues are rendering it nearly useless.
Please help!

Agree! Started having issues with the calorie count not updating even after i log new foods....I updated and signed out and back in...it fixed the issue for one day..now happening again. I have used fitbit for nearly 10 years now...this sort of thing seems to be happening more and more lately...

I have this same problem, I can enter in foods, and it calculates calories used, but does not appear on my home page, have to go into the food app part to see what I have consumed, does not update the graph either. Also many of my meals that I have created have been lost/deleted from my list of custom foods. Hoping there is a fix soon, this is pretty aggravating as I track everything on my fitbit. thanks

I gave up using the Fitbit app to log food and am using MyPlate. Unfortunately it doesn't sync with Fitbit. If MyFitnessPal synced sodium counts too I'd switch.

Sorry to repeat myself @LizzyFitbit, but the bugfix is probably very simple to do based on my findings.
So please talk to the devs and provide a hotfix for this problem 😊

Thanks for the message but it has been 3 months with these issues. Who do I contact to cancel premium membership,? My fitness goals can't wait for the DEV team another 3 months.

I just started having this issue this past week. After reading this thread doesn't look like a there's a fix yet? I'm up today in my Inspire 2.

No fix, but the workaround is to log out of the app and back in. You will loose all your food data since the problem started for you. Then, if you need to add a custom food, add it on the website, not the app, and you won't have problems.

Just chiming in to say the fix is temporary at best. I too have logged off and out, Uninstaller and reinstalled. Problem is fixed for a moment, but resumes shortly after.
