I've had an issue for a few months now where my logged food doesnt accurately show up on the main screen icon, and instead have to open the full food log to view my calories.
Starting yesterday, the food log is not displaying my calories at all after adding them. Hours later, they might show up, along with all my other attempts to log my food. It's been a mess, and I've had to resort to just writing it all down.
Customer Support told me to log out, restart my phone, log back in, and try logging. That didn't work. Then they said to uninstall the app and reinstall the app. That didn't work either. I'm still having this issue today, and it's quite frustrating because it's like the main thing I use this app for.
Is this some bug that just needs addressed in an update? My app is up to date, having an update done two days ago. Anyone else having this issue?
Edit: I would like to add that this only seems to affect the quick calories input. Any specific measured food I add seems to show right up, but since I use quick calories throughout most of the day, I cant accurately track my food anymore.

Clearly there was an update to fix all the other issues that broke from the update before, but instead of fixing things, it's made it worse. After going in today to input my food, I started noticing my calorie counts for prior days were VERY low. It made me think I'd forgotten to input a meal (which I'm very religious about). Instead, when I went in to check, I'm finding almost all of the meals I had labeled under 'Lunch have been deleted! Including all historical tracking back almost 2 months. In addition some of my custom meals are gone too.
I had slightly gotten used to not having my calorie count show accurately on my summary screen after the update before this latest one (at least I could go into the food portion & it would total there), but now those totals are completely wrong because my 1/3 of my entries vanished!
And yes Fitbit Support, I have closed out, rebooted, and every other fix you default to tell us, with no change. Feels like beta testing is a thing of the past 😞

Upon looking further, my meal entries "vanished" bc they were linked to custom entries that are no longer there. I'm on a special meal plan where I need to enter most of my entrees as custom meals. After this update more than half of my custom entries have been deleted and therefore any and all meals entries that used those as a selection are now gone too

This is horrible customer service my food plans have been spotty in the tracking for a month (if not longer) and now in the app it has deleted my custom food so I can not select it and then when I check prior days were I have used these they have disappeared. Fitbit app team haven't done anything! Except maybe made it worse as it seems it keeps going down hill. Please do your job and make the app work the way it should. Next watch I buy won't be a fitbit with this level of customer service.

I'm still having the same issues with missing food logs and fat, protein not calculating correctly. I just updated the app & it's worse. Now I've lost all history after forcing stop, logging out, rebooting phone & logging back in. Support said it would take a while to re-sync my data, but it's been over 24 hours. Custom foods from recipes are gone, & I'd put a lot of time in to develop those items so I could accurately track nutritional stats. It's about time to buy new tracker/watch, but not sure I'll go w/Fitbit again. Very disappointed.

Any new answers, solutions? Most of these initial posts are from mid-June, so now a whole month later & food logs still not working???

That sounds like a problem with the update process itself. It seems like they didn't do a good job of handling unsynced logs when the app was updated, which is unfortunate since it means you've lost anything that wasn't synced at the time your app updated.
But now that you've updated, logged out and back in, any foods you log from now on (I'm guessing) should be good.

So really the best answer for all app issues is "do not do anything, hope for an update"

Check for the 3.63 version. It is working. There is a bit a drag time between devices. I have an older version on my tablet and the new version on my smartphone. Either version doesn't always show up on the website. When it doesn't I refresh the page. I was able to add a custom food right after the new version. I didn't lose any of my older custom foods. As for Fitbit info on nutrients not being accurate, it's not their strong point. i have address this when giving them a rating on Google Play Store, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I use the Lose It app before I started using the Fitbit app. I still use it as it's data base is more accurate and has the ability to edit the info when you scan the food's bar code. When you do and hit save, the corrected data is automatically available to everyone using the app and the developers so they can verify it and update the data base. Too bad Fitbit doesn't seem interested in doing that.

There is a new version, 3.63. I'm Android user and found that it didn't show up under updates available. I found it under my installed list, apparently a Google Play Store glitch as I noticed it was happening with other apps.

I just did a 3 mile session on treadmill and I have 4 zone minutes...how can that be?

3.63 update worked - all my features on the food app working with the exception of the nutrients - they all seem to be all way to high.

Just got off a chat with support...what they had me do makes no sense. They said it is not detecting my heartbeat but that isn't true because it is detecting.
I also am having issues syncing, so I think their new update has more bugs then Terminix.
Had only the food issue but now I have all kinds issues.

Please keep your comments in this thread focused on "Android Fitbit app not tracking food and calories intake" topic.
Don't move the target for this specific issues such to get attention from the FitBit App to be solved.
One can always hope.

This is related to the update as prior to the update I had no problems other than the calories.

Same-ish…5 mile walk only burned 230 calories…makes zero sense. 😂

seems like none of the issues get resolved…😂. As the original poster I would really love just for no one to comment on it anymore since most of it is saying that Fitbit just doesn’t give a f. Not good for a new customer…..

Updated to 3.63 and it seems foods I log on my Android also automatically appear on the laptop dashboard. Yay! BUT!! The numbers are off. On my Android, let's say for example I log three foods for breakfast; e.g., 1 at 20 calories, 1 at 50 calories, and 1 for 30 calories. The program creates a summary on its own showing that I ate 100 total calories. The problem is the program then proceeds to calculate the summary total with the individual foods so overall, Fitbit says I actually ate 200 total calories for breakfast - twice as much. Now add lunch, dinner, and snacks and at the end of the day, I'm over budget by double. I give up. I'm sticking with free My Fitness Pal which doesn't give me "double" trouble (lol, see what I did there?). Seriously, I really have given up on ever having a fully functional Fitbit app.
