I would say part of the bug Cleos. Same issue here with my Inspire 2. Frustrated to the max.
Give me strength. I have over 200 Android Apps installed. Most apps updates all the time, problems, has happened a few times, fixed within a couple of hours. Fitbit App updates 1 -2 times a month. Problems? Oh yes, most of them unnoticed, and met with "a sound of silence". Now it's fixed, oh no, sorry, we try again later. It is your hardware & software. Have you hired physically and/or mentally retarded who programs the app after what colour they like today?

There seems to be a working temporary solution for the notification bug. All this thread merger has caused threads to be q mis-match of issues.... so I can't speak to the syncing issues and battery drain.
For Android users, try checking your notification settings and try disabling the option for transliteration. This worked for me, though transliteration is of course dead.
I'm guessing there is either a broken API or missing code, and as all notifications go through this process (if enabled), a bug will break all notifications altogether. I really hope notifications are not processed via an API... that would be a huge security risk.
Didn’t work. This is my 3rd Fitbit in 3 years. What can you do for us? I can’t even do the chat online to voice my issue, I feel as a competitor this isn’t what I’m supposed to suffer through. This is beyond demotivational and really goes after what’s left of people’s own mojo - I’m still in a lockdown country! I chose Fitbit because I’m a runner and I’m on a limited budget, Apple is too fancy and Garmin too expensive. But after 3 Fitbit s, Garmin clearly wins.
what is the update? What is happening?
I have just tried this and my watch worked right away. The test call now works and I'm receiving notifications now. Thank you for posting your suggestion. I was getting so frustrated. That setting has always been on in my settings and I always received notifications until around two weeks ago.
Honestly, you saved me from taking my fitbit versa back to the shop. I upgraded only days ago and had it in mind to return it today for a refund so thank you!
I hope it works for others
Grazie
