Caller ID showing previous caller's name

When I receive a phone call it used to display who was calling, now it displays the same contact all the time. So if My husband is calling me it says my mum's calling me on the fitbit. It's happened 3 times now. And not just with my husband calling. But always says mum's calling.

Anyone know the date when this is likely to be resolved?
I was thinking about buying one for my other half but as this is a feature
that would be important to him, there isn't much point!!

And now that it looks like Google is acquiring Fitbit, it may not ever be resolved

I just received an e-mail stating that Fitbit has been acquired by google. Guess that is why they don’t care about the problem. Maybe when google takes over they have better IT that will fix it.

That is a possibility also. I just don’t understand why they don’t go back to the version that worked.

I found that clearing the app cache resolves this issue, temporarily, but it returns again in a few days. This issue has clearly impacted various Fitbit models for over a year now. Now you want me to pay for "premium" app services? Not happening! Time to get your act together Fitbit, or I'm switching to Garmin, and taking an army with me. Enough is ENOUGH!

seems like fitbit is not planning to fix this problem.  seems like they are waiting for google takeover and maybe change in software at that time.

I just emailed this back to support in an email thread. I think it's hilarious. We'll see if they do. Lol.

"Hi, Thank you for being a valued member of the customer support team! We in the android forum appreciate your inquiry into the nature of this problem. We are working hard to resolve the issue. Over 7000 of us have viewed the thread on the forum about this issue. Before I assist you further with your inquiry let me tell you what we've done so far to correct the issue of the caller id always showing the same caller.

  • All instructions that have been suggested by support team have been executed by many of us here in the android forum with no improvement with the issue.
  • clearing the app cache resolves this issue, temporarily, but it returns again in a few days.
  • We have also installed every previous version of the app back until 2.9. 2.9 does resolve this issue, but it is a pretty old version.

Now to help you with your inquiry.

In your knowledge base type in my info that you requested about my specific version of this issue.
Under make type in SAMSUNG
Under model type in GALAXY S9
Under OS type in ANDROID VERSION 9.

This should resolve your issue. If it does not feel free to switch to a different brand or just buy a new one.

I hope this helps you with your inquiry. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. "

Only real fix is to go back to version 2.9 and prevent updates.

My fitbit is still showing wrong caller details. Usually prev caller but not always. I've reset my fitbit, uninstalled it, resynced and it's being doing this since Sept...

I am having the same issue, and have restarted app and watch, updated, etc...

I am still having the same issue. Is Fitbit still trying to correct?

I have a Fitbit Blaze and a Samsung Galaxy S10. Very frustrating!

Thanks!
