When I receive a phone call it used to display who was calling, now it displays the same contact all the time. So if My husband is calling me it says my mum's calling me on the fitbit. It's happened 3 times now. And not just with my husband calling. But always says mum's calling.

same thing happening to me. Only recently has it been showing my husband's name when he is not calling. This really is irritating. Talked to someone on the phone at fitbit.. no resolution to the problem.

It has to be on the charger in order to be restarted by holding the button for 4 seconds.

I'm having the same issue since the update. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 9 Plus. I have taken all steps I found in this post to no avail. I now have version 3.3.1 (20213420) installed on my phone.

Called customer support. Did everything he said to do. Now I get NO notifications at all. So frustrating

Mine seems to be working fine now without restarting fitbit device or mucking on with app so maybe Fitbit have resolved the issue 🤞.

Hello Kevin P and the Fitbit Team,
As your post was 7 days ago, has there been a fix to the update that caused the caller id issue as of yet?

A warm welcome to the Community @Alex_C8. Thanks for the details shared. Sorry for the delayed reply.
It's pretty weird that your call notification isn't showing correctly. I would like you to force quit the app, reset Bluetooth, restart your Alta, refresh notifications and set them up again. You can find the instructions here.
Let me know how it goes.

I have a similar issue. Phone is a Pixel XL (a compatible device) that was just updated to Android 10.
When I receive a call, it shows the previous call as calling now. So for example, if I get a call from "person A" and then a call from "person B" it shows "person A" calling even though it is "person B."
I have tried all the fixes and restarted everything multiple times.
I also no longer receive text message notifications on the Charge 2 following the Android 10 update (up until then, I was at least able to see that I received a text and who it was from, but not the content, even though "sender and content" is enabled).
I think there are continuing issues with keeping the Fitbit app updated with changes in the Android operating system. I have all permissions enabled as well.
Thanks for any insight. I have tried all of the things you suggest.

I am literally OVER issues with my Fitbit. For over a month, I was not receiving the full text message, only name of sender and also Caller ID was always same person. Seemed to have miraculously fixed itself for about 24 hours now Caller ID is broken again. So frustrating. I rely on my Fitbit to tell me who is calling and I missed a very important call regarding my child because my Fitbit gave me the wrong name. I am ready to throw it in the bin, total disgrace that people are lead to believe this is being "looked at" when clearly Fitbit doesnt care less.

Still having issues.
It shows the caller id of the first call you received that day ALL DAY.

That started happening to me as well. I have had more issues, first started out saying who call was from but no message which was bad enough. But now it is showing me the same contact no mater who is calling. I am really getting very irritated with this. I once was very happy with the product, bought one for my sister, my husband, my dad... but am really getting discouraged here.

I recently linked up a used but new to me fitbit and I'm having same issue. The contact for phone calls shows as first person that day or before but texts work fine. Has any one found a resolution yet?

thank you, this worked for me!
On phone.....
Go into Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions > (turn on) Call logs, Contacts, Location, SMS, Telephone (if these are on, turn off and on again) > Storage > Clear cache.
Fitbit App....
Go into your profile > Touch your watch > Notifications > Turn off Calls and back on.
Watch....
Shutdown and back on.
