On the new app, on Android on a pixel 7.

The Edit Exercise panel allows me to properly edit Date, Start time and Duration, but the keyboard is not showing up when I try to update the Activity.

Sadly the three dots don’t show up on my app on my IPhone, only the pencil. Same thing on the website on my Mac. They still don’t see this as a problem apparently.

Whooo hooo! Thank you!! You deserve huge accolades of some sort!?!! They owe you! Now I don’t have to get an Apple Watch ;)!
Thanks a ton!!

Nygator777, you may have gone one step too far. The page with the vertical dots is before the “edit” page (no pencil icon).
From the dashboard page, click on “Exercise days”. You’re there.  Vertical dots upper right.

I see the vertical dots but after clicking manage data, there's no exercises option.

This doesn't work for me. I can't figure out how to do this. I did it on the app and clicking "Review Your Data" brings me back to the new exercise app UI. If you are talking about the web. If you are talking about the web dashboard, I can't find this page.

The same for me. Has anyone been able to make this work on an android?

Hmmm, yeah it’s at this point…after clicking “review your data”… that my app momentarily goes back to two new exercise UI screens and then pulls the edit screen in from the right, almost like the one click executes a macro…at least for me. Best of luck.

Wow! Yeah you’re at the spot!  Your “next page” is completely different from mine! Weird! Sorry.

Are you doing this on an iPhone, Android, or the website?  I can't do it on the website.  And on my Android, I only see "Manage Third Party Apps", "Delete Data", and "Delete Account".  If I click on "Delete Data", and then click on "Exercise", it takes me to a screen where I see "Review You Data".  Click on that, and I'm back to the "Exercise" screen where I started with the three vertical dots.  And I still can't edit. I'm just going in circles.

iPhone and can’t do it on a Mac Airbook either.

How does this bug still exist? It's been months since the new broken app dropped and I still can't edit activity names.

I’m on an iPhone. The iPhone app goes back to the dashboard for a moment after clicking on “review your data” then the (old) exercise screen slides in from the right. From there, you are able to edit as in the past. It appears on the android app, that doesn’t happen. Sorry.

Where are you seeing “review your data”?

From the dashboard, click on “Exercise days”. Next page, click on the 3 vertical dots upper right and choose “Manage Data”. Next screen, click on “Exercise (Exercise Logs and GPS Tracking”) option. You will see “Review Your Data” on the middle of the next page. Pictured below.

Again, I have no vertical dots. Only a pencil and it doesn’t do what is suggested.

Even if that work around worked out wouldn't help with workouts that don't use gps.

Those 3 vertical dots (on the "Exercise" main page, not on the exercise itself):

Then "Manage data" -> "Exercise (Exercise logs, GPS tracking)" -> "Review your Data" and then you land on the "old" page where you can edit your activity type (like before):

Nope. When I click 'manage data' the only options are delete data, delete
account and manage 3rd party apps.

The key point is that this is not the same for everyone....the inability to
edit seems to be a glitch/error that is only affecting a minority of
people, but quite a large minority.

For android,  it doesn't land on the old ui, it just goes back to the same new ui so you can't use keyboard to type in the exercise field
