Fitbit Update: 11/6/17

Hey, everyone! Smiley Happy

Super happy to hear that you can finally see who has cheered you in Challenges again. Thanks for confirming with the release of the Fitbit for Android app version 2.61 you can see the picture of who has cheered you. If you're an Android user still experiencing this issue, please make sure to update the app.

Now that this has been resolved, I am going to close this thread. If any of you come across this issue again in the future, please make sure to open a new topic for discussion. Thanks to all of you for being patient while this was worked out. I'll see you all around here on the Forums!

Fitbit Update: 10/03/17

Hey, all! Please allow me to clear up some confusion. The cheers not showing up in challenges is only affecting the Android app. This is why if some of you also own iOS devices, you're still able to see cheers inside Challenges. I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. Our team is going to work on a fix, but I don't know when that fix will be released. I'll continue to post any updates here. Thanks so much for your patience!

Fitbit Update: 09/14/17

Hey, folks! Thanks for your patience while our team works on a fix. The recent Fitbit app update for Android did not contain a fix for this Challenges issue. Rest assured, once a fix has been identified and released I will make sure to announce it here in this thread.

Fitbit Update: 08/29/17

Thanks for catching this, everyone! I tested this on an Android device, with the Fitbit app version 2.56 and noticed the same result. I have escalated this to our team for review. I will provide an update once I have new information.

I noticed in my Galaxy S5 the profile pics in challenges show. However in my Galaxy Edge 7 the profile pics in the challenges do not show. Hope that helps the research.

The 2.57 Upgrade installed on my Samsung S7 today.  Didn't resolve this issue.  I still have Ghosts.  It's time for me (us?) to throw a Conniption Fit!!!

Thanks for the update. I'm having the same issue glad it isn't just me. I'll be checking daily for the new update. Challenges aren't the same when the app isn't working correctly. Please fix.

Thanks for posting the upgrade version @BLLingg , I did not even realize there was an upgrade--guess it doesn't matter because it looks like no correction of this issue (would be nice to know what bugs were fixed). Somone mentioned earlier that it can take 10-20 day cycle for upgrades/fixes  to be released, so we'll have to stew a little longer.

It's incredible how seeing those faces really does make a difference. I've felt almost disconnected in these challenges during this time. I have some people on my friends list that do not include an image of some kind for their profile and I try to encourage them to add an image because it makes a difference in the group challenges. I feel that it's more engaging to have that personal touch. I don't think they would want to be in group where it's all blank faces and I know for sure that after all this I would not have a great experience at all without it. I guess this is just happening to Samsung android phones, hopefully they won't have the same issue with iPhone users when the new iPhone 8 comes outRobot Mad

I thought I was the only one. I kept deleted the app then re-downloading and nothing worked. I hope you get this fixed soon.

@MzPI started checking my Version every Day 10 Days after the Last Upgrade.  I don't want to stop accepting Challenge Invitations but some of them have FitFriends whom I especially "need" to know if they cheered me or not.  In some, it's no big deal since I'm not really "close" to anyone in there.

It's also extremely disconcerting to be stepping out with someone who doesn't appear on your Leaderboard!!!

It's not just Samsung.  One of those very special, very close FitFriends has a Motorola.  And he has the same Problem.  It's our Android.

@AlessFitbit, I realize that Patience is a Virtue.  I've done some programming myself although nothing above Beginner Level, I've worked closely with Programmers, & I've been on a Program Development Team as the Bug Finder, so I know it's not easy.  And I wouldn't have their job for all of the Tea that went into Boston Harbor!  But this is making some (many??) of us almost "hate" the Challenges.  It isn't an enhancement we're seeking.  It's got to be a switch or something somewhere in the Coding for 2.56.

I emailed Fitbit support. They wrote back and said it may take 2 days to respond to my email. Fitbit is not the same without being able to see the cheers in challenges.

Thank you....I'm wondering if we should start a "phone campaign" and start
calling support...daily. Fitbit is NOT the same without the cheers....

I'm sorry many of you are still not seeing who "cheered" in your Challenges. I'd really appreciate everyone's cooperation while this is investigated. Like I mentioned before, I will announce any updates here when I receive more information. Thanks for your understanding!
