Compatibility with Motorola Moto Z droid

I just changed phones and got a Moto Z Droid. I spend hrs today (away from home) trying to figure out how to make a change on my phone. When I got home I had to make the change on my computer. Then looked up to find out that Moto Z is NOT compatible with my fitbit. Not Happy.

The sad thing for Motorola is that this is negative feedback for you. I won't recommend this over a Samsung which has no issues working with Fitbit.

I desire to get text alerts on my Blaze from My Motorola Play Z I have had
for almost a year. Any idea when this will work?

I have had my Charge 2 for nearly a year and was able to set text and call notifications on my Motorola Droid Turbo. I had to get new phone recently (Moto z2 Play) and in the notification setting on the fitbit app, the text and call choices are not listed. Android version is 7.1.1

It's very strange that my moto z can find and connect to my  yumani scale, which was considered just an "OK" wireless scale, and my expensive versa fitbit can't be seen nor paired with my moto z play.  I'm actually considering sending the versa back.  Fitbit obviously has enough money / customer base and doesn't need to keep the moto customers.  To be honest the new versa has had issues connecting to my iPad and to my computer.  It's just not reliable, which is sad because I like everything else about it.  And please don't say "well keep on synching with your computer, that should be good enough!". I don't carry my computer with me at all times, and if the versa doesn't synch my weather app won't show the weather etc.  I would really love to be able to have text messages and other notifications come to my versa, just like the apple watches work!

I have the Fitbit Charge HR and have been very frustrated iver the inability to work with Motorola Z play for compatibility. Worked fine with my Samsung phone. It was my understanding several months ago that this is on Moto to make it work?

Hi there everyone. My apologies for the late response. I know saying to use a computer as an alternative is not the best solution. I know all of you are eager to see Motorola phones listed as compatible devices.

So far as moderators we haven't receive more updates regarding this phone. Keep in mind if the tracker is not listed in the Bluetooth setting, is normal since the app only syncs through the Fitbit app. The option of Classic Bluetooth is reserve for Music control or Notifications. For more help with Notifications please review this article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.

If I got more news I will let you know. See you later!

I don't have a computer to use as an alternative.

I have the same issue and I cannot carry my tablet all over... Very disappointing.

These posts are over a year old and Moto z force is still not compatible... This is a popular phone... What the hell.

This is very frustrating... These complaints have been going on way over a year... There are no newer Droid phones on the supported list.   I can't carry my computer around to sync...

I was puzzled a long time ago about how I could not sync my notifications with my phone but I figured out you just hold the button on the fitbit Charge 2 until it says "Notifications ON"

Unfortunately my phone is not compatible with Fitbit at all even with the notification is on.

My Flex works with my Motorola Moto Z!  When, if ever, will Fitbit modify the app to function with my Motorola Moto Z and the Versa?

Best Answer

Are there any plans to modify your app to allow the use of your Versa with the Motorola Moto Z?

That is awesome!! Do you get notifications and texts? My charge 2 works as far as syncing but I don't get texts though it

May 2018, and still Fitbit and Moto Z can't "communicate!" GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, FITBIT! This is appalling as this Android device has been out for a while now? Do you have a secret "deal" with only iOS devices? Get your act together, and DO BETTER.

Hi there Moto Z users, my apologies for the late response and I appreciate your feedback about compatibility.

Fitbit is compatible with more than 200 of the most popular Android, iOS and Windows mobile devices. The full list of compatible devices with confirmed compatibility can be found at fitbit.com/devices. If a device isn’t listed it doesn’t mean it won’t work with a Fitbit tracker or smartwatch. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit App, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. A majority of Android phones running version 4.4 or higher will work with our products, however we cannot guarantee optimal performance on devices for which we have not tested and confirmed compatibility.

Catch you all later.
