Compatibility with Motorola Moto Z droid

I just changed phones and got a Moto Z Droid. I spend hrs today (away from home) trying to figure out how to make a change on my phone. When I got home I had to make the change on my computer. Then looked up to find out that Moto Z is NOT compatible with my fitbit. Not Happy.

I see this post is old. Is the Fitbit Versa still not compatible with the Moto Droid Z???

It's working with mine, but make sure You're not near another or your old fit bit device when attempting to sync.

I was able to link, but I had to go on my fit bit, go to settings, then blue tooth. I had to choose pair and then turn off and on my Bluetooth on phone. And I finally got the Blaze(Classic) and was able to pair. The watch change from paired to on. So the trick is to make sure your watch is set to pair and not just on.

Most of us are having issues with the versa. Even when paired it works only part time, if that.

@LB78 the key to your fix is in turning off  Bluetooth on the phone .

Doing this disconnected your headphones from the phone.

Now that the headphones are no longer connected to the phone, they can now see the request from the Versa or Ionic .

Please remember that this is a limitation of Bluetooth and Fitbit can not do anything about it .

A bluetooth device can only talk to one server at a time .

Having the tracker in pair mode did not help and is only used when connecting the tracker to the phone.

Just remember if you want to connect the headphones back up to the phone you will need to turn the Bluetooth classic off on the tracker.

I have a Moto Z and got my Versa about a month ago. Worked wonderfully...until two days ago. All of a sudden, the time on my versa changed and it no longer syncs. Why the hell would it work perfectly for a month and then suddenly simply STOP?! I've tried everything including uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app. No luck. Now I get a notification every half hour that my Fitbit app is more longer working. No duh! 😡 Not happy not that I'm finding out Versa and my phone are not compatible. Never thought to check since I used the app on this phone with an Alta for over a year with no problems.

To be honest I think that they continue to try to get their app to work with an Android phone . But for some reason when they tweek one thing then they other thing breaks . Mine will work at times. I do not rely on it to check text or anything like that. It had worked for a bit, but lately the steps stopped syncing up. My food and water and sleep sync though!  I don't think the company is to worried about Android users buying it . Had mine not been a gift I would have returned it . They must have a big enough market to be able to lose a few consumers.

I would have never bought another fit bit if I would have known about the
compatibility issues with the Moto phones. I am beyond disappointed.

I have come to believe that neither Fitbit not Motorola give a **ahem**.

I'm pretty sure it's Fitbit . My Motorola blue tooth attaches to every other blue tooth device that I use with no problem.  And it's the app since my versa also has no problem hooking up to my blue tooth ear buds.  It's really too bad a little bit of app programming is hindering a nice looking watch.

It has been a year and a half since this posting and still cannot pair my Blaze to my Moto Z2 Play.

You need to try a little harder. Not impressed with Fitbit customer support.

I have found the problem is the Moto Z2 phone. I had to clear the cache on the phone and use the FitBit app to pair and all is good.

Same with my Vesa

Also a long time fitbit user who is VERY VERY UNHAPPY.  I have a Moto Z force which was working fine with my Fitbit Flex.  Updated to the Force 3, it paired for a month, and now does nothing since your last fitbit update.  When I check the android computability I see you only have phones from about 2015 on the Motorola Android platform.  You are making a lot of us very unhappy.

Won't make another purchase.  How this group is phones is neglected for several years is beyond me.

You also took away the ability to link this to a desktop.

Bad for business....  Many happy Android users out there, not sure why we are ignored.

(Can't figure out how to post new, so am replying to a post).

So, I saw a new compatability list that includes the Moto Z series!  I followed the steps to reset notifications...and I am getting them now!  I have Fitbit Charge 2 and Z Force Droid

My Moto z always worked with my charge 2. It's the versa that had never worked with my Moto z play 2.  I have to go into bluetBlue, forget my versa, turn off Bluetooth, find my versa and t pair it again .It becomes pretty irritating.
