Distance not showing on dashboard when I bike

When I go for a hike, the distance shows up on the dashboard under miles as well as on my Surge. When I ride my bike, the distance shows up on my Surge but not on my dashboard. That doesn't seem right???

@YojanaFitbit what about the issue I raised and you confirmed as "odd"? Do you have update on when this can be expected to be resolved

Best Answer
But I have exactly the same problem as SvetL describes. Yesterday I was biking 35 km, but my dashbord only show 2 km on the whole day? Why doesn't my dashboard show my biking distance?
Best Answer

Any developpement on that problem?

The exact same problem as stated above, I track my bike ride using the "Exercise" fibit app on my Fibit Versa. The exercice distance is tracked in the activity, but not on the dashboard:

fibit.PNGfibit2.PNG

As you can see the number of Km in the summary does not the 22 km of bike I did on that day

The impact in term of steps and calories is taken into account, but not the distance...

This is a persistent issue. I'm using a Versa. My bike mileage is accurately given when I view the exercise, but those miles are not accounted for in the daily mileage total in the Dashboard.

Hi @YojanaFitbit - all is up to date. Info below:

  • Tracker: Fitbit Charge 2
  • Firmware version: 22.22.55.2
  • Mobile Platform: Android
  • Mobile device make/model: Google Pixel XL
  • Fitbit App version: 2.75

Won't be sending more screenshots - you already have them from the previous post.

Plus, have in mind that this seems like a bug with how Fitbit stores and present data in general - not with the app! The distance is incorrect on the dashboard using the web as well, keep it in mind...

Hi! Was there ever an update on this matter? I see this thread was from nearly a year ago. I am having the same problem currently. Bike mileage shows up under exercise but isn't showing up on my dash board. Is there a way to fix it?

  • Tracker: Versa
  • Firmware version:  32.33.1.30
  • Mobile Platform: Android
  • Mobile device make/model: Samsung S9+
  • Fitbit App version: 2.94

I am having this same problem. When viewing activities in the app or website, the bike distance that is logged for the activity is displayed in list format, but it is not displayed on the graph, there is no option in settings to make it visible on the graphs. There are no options to show a collated distance travelled for bike activity over day/week/month/year.

The data is available in list format, however the design of the app and website fail to make activity data easily accessible in a format like the steps data.

For whatever reason I cannot insert images.

On the activities tab of the website, with today's data showing, I have ridden 28.1km, however the graph displays my distance as 6.45km. The graph only shows buttons for steps, floors, and calories burned. The calories burned section of the graph correctly shows the calories burnt during the bike activity so there should be no issue with the rest of the bike activity data being made accessible on the graphs.

Evidently, MIA.  Judging from all the questions I'm surprised that they don't have the resolution or answer to this question.  It would appear that this one slipped through the cracks.

this doesn't help when u compete with friends as their distance gets recorded. It should also just work as why would it work for one activity and not the next. @Liv2gro you're not the only one with this problem. I think the problem arises due to the dashboard distance depending on steps as if I log the miles as a walk the steps and distance increase. So obviously this is a problem with riding a bike 😂  I've emailed Fitbit to hope they can sort it but with coronavirus I doubt I'll hear off them for a while.
