Uninstall and reinstall the app. It worked for me.

Me too, finally stopped receiving email notifications.

It has now been ANOTHER week and the issue persists.  Please indicate when we may expect a resolution.

I am now unable to sleep with my Fitbit and have taken to having to remove it multiple times per day, due to the persistent email notifications.

It was suggested yesterday by another user to Uninstaller the fitbit app and reinstall. I tried this and it Does allow me to disable email notifications and it Does save the setting. Not sure if they did roll a fix, but the above does work.

Hey all - it looks like - finally - if you Uninstall & reinstall - you can disable the email notification.  Would have been nice to been notified of this fix but I did this and it seems to be working.

Looks like they've rolled back the version available via Google Play. When I checked the other day I had version 3.41 (20243562) installed, following an uninstall/reinstall today I now have 3.39.2 (20243554)

I spoke to @fitbitsupport via DM on Twitter yesterday and they said "We would like to confirm that our team is aware of the issue and they are working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible"

Same here. Uninstall/reinstall is finally working now they silently are offering an earlier version of the app. Would have been nice to let us know. 😕

They had to have done a roll back...it was one of the first things they asked me to do.....when it didn't work they asked me to factory reset my watch.... nothing worked then....but yes   a simple uninstall and reinstall seems to bring me to pre update.

Makes sense - if they couldn't figure out what the software issue was after a week that they would do this.

There's a new update in the Play Store from 24 April. Does it solve the problem?

Best Answer

I have the issue with 3.39.2 from 2nd March. No newer version being offered. Really annoying on my Sense, kills battery life with insesant notifications.

I feel your pain. Charging my battery all the time. If only they would come out with a fix.

I am trying to turn off email notifications,  but each time i google them to Off in the notifications section of the app and  hit back arrow,  the app says enabled again.

Who knows...Fitbit's motto is, zero communication and zero quality in their product!!

Try their new update and see how it goes.

I would love to try an update but have not received any update to try.

I didn't try it yet. But upon looking today, it's not available anymore. 3.39.2 is the available version now, which works fine BTW.
