Enable text notifications Android

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Fitbit Charge 2 along with the App on Android.

I enabled text message notifications and they worked fine.

I then enabled the whatsapp notifications instead and again this worked fine.

I want to change back to text message notifications ...But the App will not allow me.

I select Notifications and it takes me to a screen with only one button Enable Notifications. But my phone already has this enabled for FitBit and I can not get past this screen or find another way to access the selection of notification choices.

Can someone please assist, I would really like to switch this back to text message notifications.

Thank you

Hi there @RonnieFit, let me start by giving you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Certainly this is not an expected behavior.

Lets do the following to address this issue. Log out from your Fitbit app and force quit the app or restart your phone. Wait until your phone initialize and log back in to your Fitbit app.

Go to your Account tab in the right upper corner. > Select your tracker and go to your Notifications options. > Select Text Messages > and here you should be able to see the options for Text Messages.

If this is not working perhaps it might be require to restart this option, so try the troubleshooting section of this post.

See you around and keep me posted how it goes.
