Hi, I just noticed that the green and yellow lines have changed and now are all over the place on the graph. All graphs for different days start with a 0:00 hrs. The fluctuations are not at all in line with what I was reading up until today. Anyone experienced this issue?? Thanks

Hi All,
I would like to know how exactly the new sleep algorithm that was introduced in July work. Previously my sleep graph would show pretty much green i.e. no high oxygen variations, but now with the new sleep algorithm I am seeing consistent spikes of yellow indicating high oxygen variation on a daily basis. Also my sleep scores now seem to be lower than before.
Best Regards,
Enigmacmpr

Don't forget to reactivate Fitbit auto-update after software fix release. GOOD LUCK!

I have 2 android devices (one for work, one personal) and have the FitBit apps on both. I've had my Charge 4 since Dec 2020. One device was recently updated and I started to notice a very different "Estimate Oxygen Saturation" graph on the newer version (3.64) vs the other older version (3.49.1) - which is quite concerning to me (and shows I have a very high oxygen saturation levels)
How can there be such a large variance shown on 2 different app versions, from the same device on my wrist? This makes me doubt the data entirely...and want to move away from my beloved Fitbit.
I had a live chat with someone and they advised: "We’re currently working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon".
This is unacceptable to me. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

PoppyMC, you are right, the new version is not a all precise if compared to the previous one. Instead to prove they went back on quality.

But Lizzy, your team isn't doing the basic things you should be doing.
At very least, on the "LEARN MORE" page linked from the sleep stats page with the graph, you should place a note about the known issue. That's an easy change to make if it's not possible to put a note by the graph itself, or block the results of the graph until the issue is resolved.
You should tweet about the known issue, perhaps send an email, perhaps an in-app notification, perhaps make a note on the app page.
But instead, you are doing nothing proactive about an issue that can cause your customers stress and/or possible unnecessary doctor appointment except for leaving it to us to happen on to this thread.
If you and your team don't understand what an egregious failure this is, how much your lack of effort or concern says to your customers about FitBit, then I seriously have to question why there are no qualified adults working there.
I'm on my 7th device after 8 years and it will be my last, including the Google Pixel watch I have now completely lost faith in.

Yes they do .... they don't want folks to roll back on more workable version.. but are willing to lose us in droves over piss poor support... Either fix arrives before I switch to competitor or me and mine are gone.... Come on Fitbit - support ur long term customers... provide us roll us back til u have a fix!!. I have rolled back and will not activate Fitbit auto-updates until demonstrated Fitbit softwar fix is released.

Well said! Completely agree! It's so unfortunate how this has been handled. I myself have owned Fitbit devices for years and will now be switching to something else. I've tried to reach out and have not received a response to date... Sad

I started checking my sleep score data more often, but the reason that concerns me, are the blood oxygen variatons. When I just got my watch, my oxygen variations were low. Recently, I’ve started seeing the numerous orange spikes per night, which means that it’s high, and it really made me confused! It says that the high variations 《may be linked to the breathing issues》, but I feel fine. Plus it 《ruined》 my previous records that were ok (low) before. Please, can someone fix this problem or at least tell me what is going on? Thanks in advance🙏🫁:watch:!

The Best Answer and the most responsible answer would have been if Fitbit had decided to roll back the app to the previous version until the issues in the current version are rectified. FitBit is owned by Google, so no one should be more capable of rolling an app back than the company that owns and manages the Google Play Store. The fact that this hasn't happened to date just demonstrates Google's lack of concern about the seriousness of this issue.
