I have a samsung. I go to settings on my phone, then scroll to find Apps .click this. Then scroll to find fitbit.click this. Then go to storage and click this. Then clear data. Hit ok. Then go back to your fitbit app and log in and say yes to permission for location etc., hope this helps. Should be the same procedure on all phones I think.
Best Answerby clearing data does this remove all your logs though? I got a warning when we met to clear data
No it doesn’t. I just followed the steps and all my data is intact.
Best Answerthanks i tried it all data still there, however its not fixed the problem unfortunately. Thanks though
His fix said,
1.Tap Apps > Fitbit > Storage.
2.Tap Clear Data.
Not Clear Cache. It lists both options.
Best AnswerReceived a firmware update notice on the fitbit app on Wed evening. Ran the update and now I can no longer access the exercise tile on my fitbit ionic. It just sits there...cannot record any exercise activities nor will it pull up the list of exercises. t's recording my steps, heartbeat, sleep, etc. but not exercise activities. I've shut down the fitbit, restarted it, uninstalled and reinstalled it, deleted the app from my iPhone, restarted my phone and reinstalled the app. No changes. What's the deal?
There is a clear Data option on mine.
I should have read ALL the posts.
Question answered. tks
Best AnswerIs all of your exercise and other data lost if the advice to clear user data is followed. I am also having the same problem with Strava so I suspect it probably has to do with an update on another app that both Fitbit and Strava access. Any idea what that app update may be.
Best AnswerThere is nothing called “clear data” on my phone app. There is “clear storage” and “clear cache.” I am not willing to use the clear storage button as it says this will wipe out all of my workouts. That sounds absurd. Clear cache doesn’t work. So, other ideas?
