I did what one subscriber suggested.  I uninstalled app, restarted my phone, then reinstalled app and the exercise function is working now.

Clear the data too. Clearing the cache alone doesn't work.

This will wipe all of the data though, I don't want to lose all my history.

The exercise section of the app has been playing up for weeks. Tracks my runs but when trying to share suddenly I've moved from the UK to Africa?! Please fit it!! 🤦🏼‍:female_sign: So frustrating

On the app or the phone?

Only on the app! go to settings > apps > fitbit > storage and clear cache and data there. You don't lose your data, it's stored online.

Perfect,  thank you.

Don't worry, it doesn't lose data. It's stored on their servers so you can change phones, etc.

Will this process of deleting data in your phone settings delete the previous data you have logged on the app
