No, because as has been mentioned multiple times in this thread, clearing app data DOES NOT delete your FitBit data as this is all stored on their servers in the cloud. Clearing the app data simply removes your login and preferences so you just have to login again and accept relevant permissions.
It's no different to removing and reinstalling the app

I followed the link to this article from the giant pink banner on the website asking people to go to this specific article for the fix to this problem, which is obviously affecting many users with no discrimination as to their phone preference. I didn’t consider that Fitbit would only provide a solution for Android users. Even so I deleted the app and reinstalled and the problem persists, so it doesn’t make a difference anyway.

Please explain exactly how to access the 'settings' on the Android app. I have tried and tried and cannot find the tab you are referring to. Sorry if I am being too basic here...

The solution recommended by Matt worked. No more crashes caused by hitting the exercise tile. THANKS!

Hi @Jamie_Laly I meant the advice in the original thread you posted (Google Play Store not downloading Fitbit app), the advice from @LanuzaFitbit .You are in a different threat now.

This did not work. My FitBit is still stuck in the running mode and is now showing it has been on 18 hours. I tried your instructions and nothing changed. What can I do now?
