I updated to Android 13 today.
From then on, no sync possible anymore.
I already:
- Restarted my phone
- Shut down the phone completly
- Force quit Fitbit
- Deleted and reinstalled Fitbit (should be the newest version)
- Reset the Charge 5
- Shut down Google Assistant (apparently that's a problem with the Sense and Android 13)
- Restarted Bluetooth several times
- Hard Reset the Charge 5
Now I'm stuck with a watch that can't be connected anymore and is stuck in install mode.
Edit: To clarify. The Charge 5 is being seen via bluetooth, i get's found by the app, but it doesn't complete the connection.

Anyone put there with a Fold rather than a Flip? I'm on F721BXXS1BVKC as well and that's the latest bit no go on FitBit Charge 5 connect 😞

I have a Fold 4, and I got an update this morning, update did not resolve the problem, but it looks like the version number is not the same as the one that is resolving the problem, I am in the US so still patiently waiting on the update that will work! So back to using my tablet as my secondary device so I can get my steps to sync on all my other apps!
Update 12/31/22: I am in Central NJ- No fix yet, but something very interesting happened this morning. Not sure why it happened. I have been using a secondary device to sync my Charge 5, and it's been working. This morning I took my Fold 4 and my charge 5 to the gym, thinking I would be able to sync once I got back home to my secondary device. Just as an afterthought, I went to my Fitbit app at the gym on my phone and for the first time in over a month, my app was registering my steps as I did them! I actually saw it counting up the steps, and when I scrolled down on my profile picture it said synced a few seconds ago, it usually takes a few minutes for it to register on my phone, this was immediate! I am not a techie, so I have no idea why it would sync when it was miles and miles away from my secondary device. I just thought it was very strange!

I really don't think it matters what update version matters. The bug makes it si NO fitbit works with any phone after an update. Freaking ridiculous!!!!!

Hi @NKu that's great. Would you mind sharing which update (presuming Android 13 patch?), where you got it from and how you force a manual update please as not sure I know how to do that - I normally go to About, Software and check for it there. Sorry to be a newbie on that point

When I did some digging last night, yes the update is only rolling through Europe market ATM ... No eta for other countries.
Yep, that's the latest for the Fold. Still unable to sync to the charge 4. Waiting for rolling updates.

My charge 5 appears to have quit syncing also on the 17th of December. I've been using fitbit for years, this one for a year and now no longer functions. I have a Z Fold 3 and should not be experiencing this issue. None of the fix's work. Charge 5 no longer keeps accurate time, connects with phone, or any of the other functions it is supposed to.
Appears my husband and I will have to switch to Samsung watches because Fitbit has become unreliable.
when is the patch coming? 2023 is pretty vague...

@GrahamTheHat I didn't find it in About > Software but if you go to Settings & search for update then it should show the option for Software Update then click download & install. Its appeared for Flip3 5g at least.

12/26/2022 Update
I did a chat with FitBit and they are aware of issue with Charge 5 not syncing to Samsung Z Flip 3 and working an issue. They hope to have an app update in 2023.
