FitBit Blaze not Syncing Consistently

ANSWERED

My Fitbit is not syncing, and it hasn't synced since 7/6/18. The only things that are counting in the App are calories but my Blaze watch is counting everything normally. I saw there was a data issue with android devices (I have an LG) so I re-installed and updated, then restarted my phone. No improvement. Is this an additional problem people are seeing recently?

App update or firmware update is probably the culprit but we will never know as FitBit will not acknowledge that it is their doing. I say this because last night my Ionic started syncing by magic. However, this morning, back to the same ole crap! Regardless of the problem, FitBit's default answer to any problems is a phone capability problem unless you own a iPhone. Give me break and I'm so glad I bought a glorified $300 watch!

I disconnected my Fitbit from my bluetooth, then restarted my Fitbit Blaze, after searching for new devices within the bluetooth of my phone, I paired to "Blaze (Classic)" (this is different from what it use to me "Blaze"). It has been working perfectly ever since.

Same here with my iPhone 8plus!!  Fitbit won’t acknowledge anything very frustrating since this is an ongoing problem!!!

I synced first thjng this morning, then i charged it. Alta screen went dark, no data can be seen. It seemed to overheat when I charged it as well.

When did you buy it? They have support/replacement for a year. At least my
Versa does.

I'm sure it's past warranty. It was a hand-me-down gift. Thanks for the suggestion though! The latest message is 'no tracker found'.

Does your computer have the app on it? Try syncing there. Then turn
Bluetooth off on the computer once it syncs.

I just tried this with my Blaze and S9 Plus, and the Blaze is rejecting the pairing.

Thxs for sharing; Wow I just went to my app. & my past days, which yesterday read 0(nothing) are now synced & showing properly today. Yay. I read a comment that it wont synce while Bluetooth is on: mine read "wont synce if Bluetooth is off" go figure. So I am glad my Fitbit Badge is now synced like it normally did w/ my andriod 😅

Have tried everything to get Fitbit to sync with my Samsung galaxy s7 phone but not working! My phone works with every other app so it must be Fitbit app that has a problem and by looking at so many other people's comments on here it looks that way! Please fix this ASAP.

Yeah, isn't the inconsistency of not syncing great? I had a very active weekend and was looking forward to seeing what I had done and poof, my Ionic hasn't synced since Friday, August 24th. I'm not surprised as I'm sure it's my phone, LG, with Android OS as it always is. And, yes, I have done everything the stupid help article that was posted said to do! In fact, I have tried most of everything at least TWICE! I'm done wearing the watch! Looks great collecting dust!

With this rant, I do have a question. How can cals burned be accurate even though syncing doesn't or hasn't occurred?

Hey @Kimmy1970 and @lkjacob63.

Thanks for going through those steps and letting me know.

Since those steps didn't work, I'd like to recommend that you try the following:

  1. Go into your phone's Bluetooth settings and look for your Fitbit in there.
  2. Remove your Fitbit from that list.
  3. Run the setup process again as if it was a brand new device.

@lkjacob63 regarding your question, the Fitbit app and account uses the information you have entered to calculate how many calories you have burn during the day. The calories that show up can include the ones tracked by your Fitbit and also your BMR. You can read about it in here.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

My blaze stopped receiving messages about a week ago. Every other feature works fine.  I've tried uninstalling and all the troubleshooting methods. It's really annoying that I spent so much on it for it to stop working. Also annoying that trying to post to get help here doesn't always work because the app doesn't let you post.
