In the same space as the cardio target for the day, there is now a box that says:
Fitbit Labs
Ready to upload your first lab report?
Get a simple summary of your lab report. If you're not not ready, please share why in the survey.
Get started
If I tap on "Get started", I am taken to a screen where I can scroll down and choose "No thanks" or "Agree & Continue". If I choose "No thanks", I never get a survey, it just closes, and the notification box never ever goes away.
It has been like this for a couple of days now. I don't want to participate in Fitbit Labs. I have turned off Fitbit Labs in my setting. Why is this box not going away??? I am tired of scrolling past it.

Hi Fitbit community! Just wondering if anyone has a solution for this. Yesterday I got a notice "are you ready to upload your first lab report" on my dashboard. I went into profile and settings, toggled off lab notifications. Restarted tracker (charge 6) and restarted the app. Notification didn't go away.

Hello @dscsmbhh
By any chance, did you uninstall the Fitbit app and re-install it? If so, there's another option that you could try. Although I'm not sure that this will work, you could see if clearing the storage/data for the Fitbit app on your phone resolves the persistent notification.

Did you actually read the post? Nothing on that page has anything to do with this problem.
Although, I do have a new problem to report! The instructions refer to a setting "Data shared for research and development", which does not exist. I can't turn it off because it's not there in the app.

@AranelS if you click your user icon in the upper right of the main screen of the Fitbit app, you will get a pop-up menu. Select "Your data in Fitbit". Under "Fitbit Labs and Research," select "Manage how your data is used". Select "Health research and product development". Scroll to the bottom and select "Turn off". That will prevent your data being used by Fitbit for Research and Development.

And just so everyone knows, turning off "Health research and product development" does nothing. The pop up continues to be shown. No one should ever share their lab reports with a company like Fitbit/Google anyways. Discuss it with your doctor if you need to understand it.

I am so irritated by the Fitbit Labs constantly on there on my Fitbit home page! Uggh :double_exclamation_mark::double_exclamation_mark::double_exclamation_mark: And as you mentioned it is in the exact same location where my Cardio Load should be!
I have done ALL the Tips, suggestions and tricks that have been mentioned and absolutely NOTHING is getting rid of it. I'm sorely dissatisfied and disappointed with Fitbit, Google, etc. for not addressing this issue and fixing the problem.
For me it's going on 2-weeks and I am frustrated to say the least 😡

Reported using the feedback option. Guess we'll see if it has any impact. This seemed to start around the time we updated to version 4.43.1 app on both my phone and DW's! Annoying...

I feel like this is the generic response but I have zero faith that anyone reads those feedback reports. I have submitted this issue through the feedback report method more than once (and have done the same with other issues on other Google apps) and have never once gotten a response or seen the issue fixed. Why tell people to do this when it is obvious no one is paying any attention. It is really frustrating to see more and more basic issues ignored and nothing is getting resolved.

Google needs to fix this banner issue. I'm on Day 4 of this nonsense. I have done all the things suggested, multiple times, updated and restarted to no avail. The Fitbit Labs banner still there. Right smack in the middle of my four main goals and my health views. Just like the sleep labs banner from hell. If Fitbit/Google has to do banners, put them at the very bottom or how about just sending a text message or email? The "improved" the graphics are still awful, and the main goals is still wasting space better taken up by two more health goals. And this ongoing banner issue is infuriating.BANNER GO AWAY!
