Fitbit Update: 8/15

Hey all!

This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.

A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.

Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.

Fitbit Update: 8/6

Hey everyone!

Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.

We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app

Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.

Fitbit Update: 6/17

Hi Fitbit Family,

We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the Google App play store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.

Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.

Fitbit Update: 5/23

Hi everyone!

We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?

We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.

Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!

Fitbit Update: 4/24

Hi everyone!

Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.

You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?

As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.

We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

@Purrstachio yes, it is still rolling out. Nothing to do but wait I'm afraid.

This was not an auto update of the app. I have most if not all auto updates turned off. This was because of an accidental touch of a beta button with no are you sure you want to do this?

Thank you @SteveH. I'll just quit looking at the forum for a while. It's making wonder if I really want this thing anyway. Should we fix what isn't broken? 🙂

Someone here had a picture of a dashboard saying it was the new one. I have seen the apple watch ones and it was just like that. I will see if I can locate that post.

Is this the layout for the new PC dashboard or the mobile app?

It's on the Android app. Some around seven minutes or so ago posted a link to the new layout.

@wxchick. your asking if this is the new dashboard but with no link pointing to any screen shot.

In my last post I have a link to what the new User Interface looks like on all forms of the Fitbit app dashboard.

The web page is not an app and has not changed.

The dashboard I saw was a version from a few years ago. As for what version of Fitbit I am using: on my tablet Samsung tab a v2.93 and on my phone Samsung  Express prime (prepaid phone) v2.95. My current app shows that the steps, weight etc., are in the tile format. Yes I understand the PC version is not an app.

And the PC version did make some changes not to the layout but to the content. And since I dont have the latest app version I can no longer see a closed group I am a member of.

Typical Fitbit.  Good hardware, awful software.  "Let's break functionality because we want to change appearance!"  Guess I'll just make sure to never update the app again.

Why do y'all continue to insist on removing functionality and breaking things that your users rely on for the sake of meeting this year's visual fad?  And why bother asking your users for feedback if you're just going to ignore it and do what you want anyway?

This version of the app is poorly designed. Please allow for the flexibility to move "Activity" above "Today" items. This new design seems disorganized and illogical! The old version was much more useful!

As for as I see in complaints is that the alarm setting that was only recently added to the dashboard has been removed and we now have to access alarms where it has always been.

Some say that they don't like the challenge where it is, this can be changed by using the edit function.

Challenges where added yo g dashboard at the request of the users.

Since the new version I can't start new challenges anymore. I can rematch but can't start my own challenges.  Please help! I don't like the new version.

Hello @LARYSSAG ,

You can but it's not very intuitive: you have to go to Discover section, press Challenges and Adventures, next to Challenges press See all and finally chose the challenge you want to create.

I learned that lesson years ago..... I'm running app version 2.63 which I believe I installed about 4 or so years ago. It's worked flawlessly with multiple fitbits, so well in fact that I'm using my old phone with that app on it just to sync my fitbits, even though I no longer use the phone for anything else.

I will never again put a Fitbit app on my current phone in use, because the apps either drain your phone battery, use up your data, cause phone issues, don't sync, or usually all of the above.

Your best bet is to find an app version that works for you, and don't update it. There are programs out there that can clone apps so you can move older apps to newer devices, and there are also sites that have older versions of the Fitbit app you can download. That's what I'll be doing going forward. No new interface for me, I like mine just the way it is 😉

I think I asked a pretty reasonable question....response from @RicardoFitbit or anyone from Fitbit so far......crickets.    Is it because it's really not improved much at all so they actually have no answe
