Fitbit Update: 8/15
Hey all!
This week we released the option to opt-in to use the new dashboard to everyone. At this time, everyone should have received the option to opt-in already. If you didn't opt-in, we will transition everyone into the new dashboard in the coming weeks.
A reminder, after you've opted into the new design you cannot revert and go back to the old one. Read more about the new interface we've designed here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Make sure you're also on the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Thanks for your patience while we completely released the new interface to everyone. We hope you're enjoying the improvements that have been made and appreciate all the feedback.
Fitbit Update: 8/6
Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your feedback on the new dashboard design. We're still in the process of releasing it to all of our users. If you don't see it yet, you will have it pushed to you in the coming weeks! This has been a slow process for the past few months to ensure a smooth rollout.
We're currently on app version 3.3, so please make sure as always that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app.
Once we've released this new dashboard to everyone, we will announce it in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 6/17
Hi Fitbit Family,
We are still rolling out our updated Fitbit app design to more users currently with v.2.95. Please make sure to update the Fitbit app by visiting the Google App play store if you haven't already. If you don't see the new dashboard just yet, you will be receiving it at some point in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your patience throughout this rollout. To read more about this new dashboard experience, please check this article out: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
Once this rollout is complete, we will let you all know in this thread.
Fitbit Update: 5/23
Hi everyone!
We’ve rolled out another phase of testing for the new app dashboard experience. If you’re one of the lucky people to see it before the full release, you can read more about it here: What’s the new Fitbit app experience?
We’ll continue to slowly release this to all Fitbit customers on iOS and Android. Once we receive more information on this, we’ll let you know.
Hope you’re all enjoying this new layout!
Fitbit Update: 4/24
Hi everyone!
Beginning today with app v2.92, we're excited to announce a new dashboard experience for the Fitbit app, currently by invitation only. If you are invited to opt-in, you can see the new design and try our new app experience to access all your stats and information in a way that’s more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.
You can read more about it in this help article: What's the new Fitbit app experience?
As with all our new dashboard updates, this is a progressive rollout. If you don't have an invitation or see the dashboard immediately, you will receive it later on.
We will update this thread with more information later, so stay tuned!

I forced stopped the app and I am now syncing. I still cannot see my steps, floors, active minutes, etc.
This is a screenshot from yesterday...this is all that shows under "Today". There is no way using the "Discover" button to add steps, floors, etc.

Fitbit Update 4/29/2019:
- The issue with being able to edit your core stats is now resolved.
- The team confirmed that some people were given the new dashboard upon updating to v.2.92. We apologize if this affected your stats and look forward to any feedback you have.
Hi Everyone - we are looking into reports from those who are unable to view stats on their Today screen. First, ensure you follow the steps in the help article. If you are still unable to edit and view your stats, would you recall how your previous screen was organized? Did you have any stats turned off?
@Dragainin can you let me know what you would like to hide but can't?
@Sassytl thanks for the feedback on sharing this has been passed to the team.
@Wheelerrm716, @MeeseV , @Stefanie74 , @Shonty, @MirandaJane30, @Laura228 You would have seen a notification like this to opt-in, once you click let's go, instructions will follow. Once you updated to the new app, you can't revert, unfortunately.
@Lizthom your feedback on the sync dot has been passed on to the team.
@Stonkin If you click on the left-hand account side and tap on the device are you given the option to set an alarm?
@Lsdenton I moved your post from the Charge 3 firmware update to this thread since it's not a firmware issue. Please see my note at the top of this post.
Thanks again for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated and our team is currently reviewing. We will continue to update this thread.

Yeah no, did not see anything like this. No let's go button. I logged in and everything was different.
Also the "helpful" article is not helpful. There is no dash board to view or edit. I've seen screen shots of what it's suppose to look like and I don't have it. Prior to the update I had steps, calories, active minutes and floors at the top of my dash board. Non of which is visible because again there is no dash board. Nothing to view or edit it's just not there. Even if I did opt into this update, which again I didn't, it wouldn't change the fact that like so many others there is an obvious glitch with this update preventing proper use of the app.

@Wheelerrm716 thanks for getting back to me. Our team is actively reviewing why some can't edit their steps and I hope to have an update soon.
Curious to hear if it just changed like this for others?
Did anyone see this screen?

First thing I did was follow the steps in the help article but there is nowhere to add steps in the discover field. I used to go see my steps the stairs on my calories how many miles I walked right in my dashboard.

top section - with steps, calories, floors, miles, and minutes - is not
visible. We can't rearrange what does not exist. There is nothing that
says Manage Activity Items or Manage Today Items, along with the
complete absence of activity items. Incidentally, the icon next the the
tiles added from the Discover section only have 2 horizontal bars, not 3.
I did nothing to customize the old display. This is not a result of
anything I had changed before you force-updated me.

I also do not remember an option for the update/upgrade. I was out of town and the next thing I know after I returned home was the new version. I was curious to know how many steps I had on my trip, but couldn't find a daily total anywhere. I only have the hourly totals.
Before the new version I had sleep, steps, calories and weight on my dashboard.
Like others, I don't have the "manage" capability. I'm only able to reorder the sleep, hourly steps, and the challenge I'm participating in.

site, I see my dashboard with steps, etc. On the new app, it isn't there.
When I click edit, there is no hide option, no steps to add back in.
Haven't enough of us commented for you to take us seriously??

Thank you for finally getting back to us. Following the directions on the page you linked did not help any. We are still unable to see stats such as steps and floors climbed. Please help.

I have now been in contact with fitbit, I have recieved 3 patronising emails in return telling me how to access something that is not there, despite sending screenshots, similar to the official response on here. Does fitbit think we are all stupid?
There is a problem, listen and stop ignoring and do something about it.
Can I check has anyone had syncing glitches since the update? I had to delete the app twice and reinstall as the sync had crashed.

I have had mulitple synching issues since the update with the FitBit Alta. When I do get the device to synch the battery drains, as it's continuely searching to connect on the bluetooth which is not working from the upate. I've reported it to Customer Services, and was informed it is a problem with app and there is no ETA on when a patch will be available. I was a fan of the FitBit products, but now I'm shopping for another tracker as a result.

This is not fair! I never accepted this new dashboard and it has made my BRAND NEW charge 3 practically useless to me! I just opened the app and it started updating. So now I cant change it back? So my money is wasted because of this? This is so wrong. I feel like people need to be made aware of this IN DETAIL WAY BEFORE they have the option to upgrade
