I've been syncing with my Windows 10 app & dongle for 2 days now because of the android sync problems with version 2.37 - it's been going fine on Windows. However, this morning, I turn on my phone and the fitbit app syncs with the tracker!!! I didn't perform any setup on the phone - the last configuration and pin code setup was for Windows 10. Now I have my phone and the Win10 app both syncing with the tracker. Totally baffled by what is going on - I thought the setup pin code restricted the tracker to whichever app/environment entered it?! Does this mean I can walk down the street and highjack anyone's fitbit?
Syncing without a setup procedure sounds very insecure. WTF (for the purposes of this forum, that means "What THE - Fitbit!")

Hey everyone! Nice to see you in the Community. ![]()
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. My recommendation is follow the steps provided by my friend @HelenaFitbit on her post to fix the syncing issues. I also suggest checking if there is an update available for the Fitbit App since we released the new Android version (2.38) a few days ago.
I hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions. ![]()

Best AnswerThanks @MarlenS for you update. I'll admit, the instructions your friend created are extensive, unfortunately, even with 2.38, the sync is still intermittent at best. I will change back to my phone at every version install but for now, the Win10 App and dongle are working great (which means this is not a tracker problem - nor is it a phone problem since other bluetooth connections work fine).
Whatever you changed in the Android v2.37 needs to be investigated. It could have had a direct or indirect effect on the sync connection and operation.
tl,dr: I think this is a problem with corrupted Bluetooth settings. Delete the Charge 2 from Bluetooth, log back in and the problem fixes.
I reinstalled after the 2.38 update and it was all fine, but then it stopped syncing after 2.38.1. Went through the list of steps again — deleting my Charge 2 from the app, logging out, deleting the app, toggling Bluetooth on and off, restarting the phone and the Fitbit and reinstalling everything and logging back in. No change.
And then I noticed that through all this, the Charge 2 still appeared in Bluetooth settings as a remembered device. I went ahead and deleted that and then logged my Fitbit back in and lo and behold, syncing started again.
I stopped syncing again Monday night, went and deleted the Charge 2 from Bluetooth settings and everything was good again.
So, in my experience, this is a matter of Bluetooth settings for the Charge 2 getting corrupted. Delete them, and you should be good to go!
I have a Motorola 4G plus and on the 22nd of december my tracker was working fine with my phone. Now today (23rd) my tracker didn't sync with my phone and so i unpaired it. Then upon repairing my phone with the tracker, the app continues to say i have bluetooth problems. I've followed all the steps on the troubleshooting page. I hope you can fix this problem. I've looked on the compatiable moblie devices and my phone isn't on there. This maybe because its a new phone (released in late 2016)
Thank you
