Fitbit requires a phone restart to see notifications... Constantly

Hi. I have a Huawei p20 lite and often my notifications won't come through to my fitbit inspire. the app says it needs a phone restart to enable them. It happens a lot. My sync is switched on to all day sync. Sometimes I will receive notifications and then half way through the day it will stop again. Is there a solution?
