Have to re-login frequently after message "Unable to send message"

The android Fitbit app keeps forgetting me and I have to log back in.  After entering my credentials, I get a pop-up saying "Unable to send message.  Please try again later".  I immediately attempt to login again and it works.  This happens frequently.

I didn't have to sign in today, for the first time in a loooong time. Hopefully it's not a fluke!!

I'm having the same issue since I upgraded my phone to S24. Have to login every day which is really annoying, get the same error message and then sign in successfully on 2nd time but it's time consuming having to do this every day.

App also telling me I need to pair my device for it to sync but it must be paired as data is updating!!!

67Healey, you have nailed the issue. This is all about forcing people to migrate to Google, without being transparent about it. I am sick of Google spying on every aspect of my life, and if we are finally forced and cannot access Fitbit without Google, I will give up my FitBit and find something else.

Just bought S24 Ultra to make my life easier and this is making it harder!

When will the update come? It's late June 2024 and this is incredibly inconvenient. Fitbit user for 10 years and now looking for a new fitness tracker....that doesn't make me log in all day to view my data.

It is still occurring even after the update.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your patience and continued support with this situation.

In order to continue investigating this our team asked me for more details. Please let us know if this happened in the last 24 hours and at what time that happened to you. Also could you please give us permission to check your account logs?

I would appreciate the information of the users that haven't mentioned your phone model and Android version. If you changed your phone model recently, let us know which model did you get and when.

Thank you.

Hello everyone! Thanks for sharing the status of this situation. I really appreciate your patience.

The team in charge is looking into this situation and would like to have more details. Would you be so kind to share the following information with me? In case anyone has experienced this situation in the last 24 hours, please share with me the time you had to log yourself back into the account. We would need you to grant us permission to check your account logs. Thanks in advance.

I know that this started happening when you changed to your newest Samsung smartphone. Would you be so kind to share when was it that you switched phones? For those of you who have not shared your phone model and Android version yet, that would also help with the investigation. Thanks in advance. I really appreciate your cooperation.

Exactly, same here too! Draining the battery at least 2 or 3 times quicker
than with my Samsung Galaxy S21

I am also having the battery draining issue since changing my phone in early May to Samsung S24, I didn't mention it because the other issue, (having to sign on every time and getting the "unable to send message. Please try later" reply when it forced you to re-log-in every day) was so dominant.

Have this problem with my wife's Samsung Galaxy S24, but not my S24+. I moved my Fitbit acct to my Goole acct and log in with my google acct . My wife has a yahoo email for log in and has not moved her Fitbit acct to Google. Could the problem come from not transferring from Fitbit acct to Google acct?

Yes, that is what it is.  Some of us don't want to sign in with Google.  Fitbit is remaining silent on this issue in the hope that we just get sick of it and cave in.  My next watch is going to be something other than a Fitbit.  I actually wouldn't mind so much if they'd just come clean from the start

It happened to me just now, had to login again at 7:24am central time. I got this new Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra with Verizon on April 22, 2024. Android version 14. Please help us all with this login problem with current generation phones and the Fitibit battery draining issue as well.

Agree, I'd this isn't resolved and soon, my next device will be something else, definitely not a Fit it. Same with my family who's nearing the time to replace their devices and they are aware of these Fitbit issues and won't be buying one unless this is fixed soon. Why would anyone?

Do you have Fitbit Premium?  I had it for a while and snore detection was on without me knowing it, which drained the battery.  My battery is pretty normal since I got the S24

Thanks for this idea, but I don't have Fitbit Premium.

Mine is off, but I am having the battery draining issue anyway.

I replied this morning with the details. I am STILL having this issue.

**ahem**. Thought it was worth suggesting.  I don't have any other ideas.  Have you contacted support?   They were the ones who alerted me to snore detection being on

Apparently D.a.m.n. is rude. Sorry

The thread is about a broader issue than battery draining, and it's related to people upgrading to the current generation of phones, the Fitbit app needs updating.
