I am unable to find private activity groups in the ap. Is there a way to do that?

Hello @BrendaR1, awesome to have you as a new member of the Fitbit Community! Through the Fitbit app is only possible to join the default groups of the Community feed section.

 

If you are interested to have a private groups, There is a feature dedicated to the Fitbit.com Dashboard were you can create activity groups. For more details please refer to the section of this article for more help: How Do I Create And Use Groups On The Fitbit.com Dashboard?

 

Just keep in mind these groups are separate from the mobile app, hence it won't be available in your Community feed groups. As an alternative you can use your dedicated browser of your phone to access your account using the Fitbit.com Dashboard.

What am I missing? I click on your link and there is NO section about creating groups.  I go to fitbit.com and cannot find anywhere to create a group. I go to the app on the phone.  There is a create group, but the create button does not work. I can enter a group name, description and rules, but I cannot create the group. It just hangs until I close the page or back out of the page. Can you please list the exact device, app, and steps for creating a group?
