I got sync issues since I changed from an Sony Xperia phone to a Huawei P30 lite phone. Since the last update it won't sync at all anymore (I read I'm not the only 1 having these issues, also other phones aren't being synced anymore).
Apparently Huawei isn't tested yet by Fitbit, but Fitbit is using that excuse for over 2 years now instead of start testing and make the app work properly with my Huawei. When I bought my Fitbit the specs for using it with a phone was a certain Android version and Bleutooth version that had to be available on a phone, and on my phone those versions are correct. If I had known my Fitbit wouldn't be working correct with certain brands of phones I wouldn't have bought a Fitbit. It's an expensive gadget and it's useless without the app. In my opinion Fitbit should have been more open about that.

Same here.
Today i upgraded Android Version to 10 something and i can't sync it.
I got somehow to sync in previous Version....although it worked miserable....
...and the Huawei 30 lite is now on the compatibility list 😞
Now after i dont know how many hard resets, new connection attempts and after 1.5 hour firmware update sync is working in lets say in 75% off time.
I must say they loose me as future buyer. I dont have any issues with bluetooth autoradio sync, or phone sync (in real time).....with same phone.
i think i might reached the end of the days with fitbit charge 4; i think i'll give it back
i had to recouple it every day now; it totally looses connection at mornings;
when i do the coupling then it looses all the night data so no sleep statistics are there (or anything in that time frame);
i'll try the support route just to see what happened but this is just bad and too frustrating

As mentionned by RicardoFitbit, the Huawei P30 Lite is now on the compatibility list.
I have decided to give my Fitbit Blaze a second chance in pairing with my Huawei Phone. It's been a couple of days now, it seem to be working fine.
The phone seems to be running a forked version of Android, so I am not running Android V10. I needed to enable the location privilege to the Fitbit application (phone settings), to get the sync going.
Let's see how it goes. I will repost if it starts to fail.
Forgot to mention that I installed the latest version of the Fitbit application on my phone.

Can you help in resolving this. I'm having to use strava which is extremely reliable until this problem gets sorted

i've given up; i sent it back;
i've bought 30eur honour band 5 watch from huwawei subsidiary company which is working without any probems with huawei phone;
so i assume it's that huawei is disrupting bluetooth on purpose for american companies (out of recent economy war on china initiated by mr. superior genious) or fitbit tech people are tottaly incapable of doing their (your work) and should be all ashamed and fired from company).....
good luck fitbit

I gave up on this for some time, came back today, updated everything and for 1 minutes today so far, it's actually working. Text alerts are coming through and it's syncing, slowly, but still syncing.

Its funny after putting my post on here my FB started working again albeit intermittently. Another problem is, sometimes it is recording incorrect information. I'm due to injury cycling on a exercise bike. any clues how to record this info. Cheers Mike

It's been a couple of weeks now and, other than the fact that it's taking a long time to find the device (message "looking for device"), it eventually syncs. More importantly, I really want to have the GPS running for my bike rides, and that has been working fine.
If you are still having problems, you can lookup Mike's youtube instructions. He has 2 videos, so look at both of them. Type the following in a browser>>> youtube Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to fitbit sync
I am running EMUI 9.1.0 (Huawei Android 9 skin), but the phone is bugging me to install EMUI 10 (I gather it's an Andoid 10 skin). I'm a bit hesitant to go through an OS upgrade, but if I eventually do so, I will keep you posted.

Well, I decided to upgrade to EMUI 10 (from 9) as the phone was constantly bugging me to do so. A really bad move. My Blaze is no longer able to sync (or even pair) with my phone (via the FitBit app). I then decided to unpair my Blaze. I have not been able to pair with Blaze since, turning my Blaze smart watch into a essentially a standard stupid watch with a battery life of a couple of days. Really disappointed.
Before upgrading to EMUI 10, I checked the FitBit site for supported devices (there is no mention of OS versions), and YES my "Huawei P30 Lite" is on the list. What do I do now? Ditch de watch? Factory reset my phone and re-install all apps and data? Move to Strava?
For now, I'm ditching the watch until I get help with pairing my device with my phone again.
Sorry for the bad news 😞

Sorry Gang, I guess I wrote too soon.
Yesterday when I tried to pair my Blaze with my Huawei P30, I couldn't even get the 4 digit screen on my Blaze. I was really far from synchronizing anything. This morning, I gave it another try, with the exact same process that I did yesterday, and to my surprise, I got the 4 digit screen of the paring process and was able to sync the Blaze with my Huawei P30. Also note that it's been syncing all day (with the "looking for device" message). I'm a happy camper again!
I can confirm that the EMUI 10 upgrade (Android 10) works.

I'm finding it's very tempermental. I woke up this morning, opened the app and it synced.
Now I don't open the app every day, so yesterday I opened it for the first time in 3 days, that was the first time in 3 days that it synced - and it took 10 minutes to sync on a 4G connection.
Also, message notifications are no longer coming through.
Edit: It's pretty poor customer service that in lamost 8 months nobody has fit bit has returned to this topic with answers or help.

Hi I'm losing patience with my charge 4. I have recently got a message on my 'phone saying the charge needs an update. I have tried numerous times but it won't update, it will sync...sometimes. I never had this problem when I had an apple 'phone. But since I've used Android I have always had syncing problems, can go for days without syncing. The purpose of the fitbit, I thought was to encourage you to exercise but without measuring your activity on regular daily basis, you tend to loose it. I did pose a question but not sure I will get an answer from fitbit. I use a stationary bike (exercise) due to injury and I get my heart rate up to about 160, but I don't se this recorded as an exercise on my fitbit...when I actully sync. Any clues. Thanks Mike

Android 10 didn't fix it for me, it works maybe 30% of the time and if I don't open the app and trigger the sync it won't do it at all.
I've had my P30 lite for almost a year now and it's never worked properly with the fitbit.

I've had issues with previous Huawei and charge 2. But I recently upgraded both, my Huawei to a P30 lite and my fitbit to a charge 4.
It seemed to be syncing fine, but hasn't at all since the last update. I don't understand what's happened.
Also with Huawei being such a popular brand these days (at least 30% of people I know use them), you'd think it would be tested much sooner and be a bigger priority 😢
