Hi LG users! Welcome to your own thread!

Thanks a lot for providing feedback on your syncing/setup experience. The best way we can look into these issues with our specialists and developers is by knowing the following information:

  • Device Manufacturer
  • Device Model
  • Android OS Version
  • Fitbit App Version
  • Error Message on the Fitbit App

Remeber, if you're experiencing issues, please try the troubleshoots in the main thread.

Of course, this is completely voluntary. We appreciate the time you've taken to provide us with any/all information provided. :smileyhappy:

UPDATE 7/31/2015: Hi Everyone!

Our Engineering Team is continuing to look into the syncing, setup, and call/text notifications issues some of our users have reported on their Android devices. I would greatly appreciate your help in capturing information about the issue you are experiencing by filling out a short survey. The information captured in this survey will be shared directly with our engineers so they may have a better understanding of what you are experiencing, on specific devices, and specific operating system versions.

I want to thank everyone who will take time to fill out this survey as the data may help to better your experience!

It should be under the device. But mine isn't working either!

@Rich_LaueThank you for the suggestion good friend!

@Bradin9855Yay! Great to hear that the update resolved the issue you were experiencing! Thanks for taking a moment out of your day to provide me with an update.

@Bradin9855@mak143For the notifications issue, have you tried the following procedure to set it up? May need to be done since you've recently updated app versions.

Not only did I follow it but it keeps prompting mine to do it again. So I've done it a dozen times! Just know that it worked until the last update.

Can someone tell me what's the difference between contacts and key ring? What is key ring anyway? I don't get any text notifications and don't even see where is the option.

@Bradin9855Key Ring is the name of an Android application on your phone. I suggest selecting the "Contacts" application as that is the default application for sending and receiving phone calls.

KeyRing is an app that will store all of your store shopping discount cards. I believe that they recently added the ability to store prepaid gift cards. You will find it lasted on type app drawer.

@Bradin9855You're welcome!

@Rich_LaueInteresting that an app for shopping discount cards appears under the phone apps to receive call notifications. The engineers for the app must have added a flag for it which thinks it can receive calls.

Hi! I have a G3 with Android 5.0.1 and I receive a Charge this week.
First, I have to connect it as a Force or it doesn't work ( it's not a problem for me if it does the job of a Charge)
But the problem is when I put on notifications, it stop to sync. Even if I take off notifications it doesn't work and I will have to dissociate the charge, wait some minutes and then link it together again. Then everything look to work except notifications!

I should have asked the question differently. I know what key ring app is. Just why it was there seems odd as Rich noted.

  • Device Manufacturer: LG
  • Device Model: G3
  • Android OS Version 5.0
  • Fitbit App Version 2.16.3
  • Error Message on the Fitbit App:

Hello. last the last app update earlier this month I have been unable to sync at all on the fitbit app, just keep getting an exclamation mark on the sync status so not getting any calls/text notifications.

It also shows that I have no Fitbit friends now.

The only thing which does work is Bluetooth Classic for music Control.

I have, these last couple of weeks tried all suggestions recommended - bluetooth restarted, tracker restarted, phone restarted, uninstalled Fitbit app and reinstalled again.

In November I changed phones from Nokia Lumia 925 and moved to Android specifically for Calls and Text notification. However with not being to sync at all, I can't but help feel like I have gone backwards and feel rather disheartened by it. Kinda wished I had stuck with the Windows Phone and bought a microsoft band instead. Smiley Sad

Do you have any other suggestions please? Is there a way I can go back to the previous Fitbit app version?

Regards, Hema

@Elyse1 where you able to get notifacations to work? As for the Charge listing as a Force, if it is not corrected yet, please contact support. The Force does not support notifacations.

Thank's for the answer! No notification yet... And still seeing my Charge as a Force! I have contact support and now waiting for their mail!

@Elyse1I took the liberty of looking into your support case with us and was happy to see that your Charge was reclassified to show as a Charge instead of a Force by our Support Team. I recommend logging into your Fitbit.com online Dashboard to confirm if that is how you see it showing now.

Also, I recommend attempting to set up your call notifications per this process, as the reclassification may help to help get you set up.

@Bradin9855Awesome news!

@hbathAs you've already tried the suggested troubleshooting procedures, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team and letting them know about your troubleshooting efforts. They will be able to provide you with a one-on-one, personalized troubleshooting experience after reviewing your tracker history with their back-end tools. See ya around! Robot Very Happy
