Lg4 and Charge 2 notification issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been having problems with getting notifications on my Charge 2 and my LG4 phone. The Charge 2 works great with my Samsung S6 but with my LG4 notifications take about 2 minutes to come through. Its very annoying and useless. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I've turned on the feature to help with delays and it's still a big delay. Even with the Test feature in the Fit bit app it takes about 2 minutes for my Charge 2 to get the notification.

Hi there @PaigeE, good to see you are visiting the Fitbit Community! This delay you're experiencing it might be related your phone is not listed as compatible. With phones that are not compatible we cannot guarantee all features will be supported as is expected as it happen with your Samsung S6.

It would not hurt to try the following steps in case the issues persists: My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app).

Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!

Hope this helps and stay tuned to our Community for more help.

Hi

I am having the same problem and have just noticed that the Samsung s9 isnt listed as a compatible device. Do you know when this will be added onto the compatible list of devices?

Thank you

Hi there @lisa12s, good to see you around in the Fitbit Community and welcome aboard. My apologies for the late response. At the moment I do not have confirmation the Galaxy S9 is going to be compatible or a timeframe of when is going to be listed as compatible. The only information available is that we are working and testing this device to make sure all feature work as is expected.

Note that there has been a few errors in the Fitbit app regarding notifications that were addressed in the latest Fitbit app update. If you have updated your app perhaps restarting the Fitbit app will improve its functionality in case the issue persists: Log out from your Fitbit app and go to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

Hope this helps. See you until the next opportunity!
