Fitbit Update 06/7/17: Thanks everyone for your feedback on the new Android dashboard. We have relayed this information to our Android team. This thread will now be closed, as the Android team has no plans to revert back to the old dashboard. We're always working towards making improvements to the app and appreciate your cooperation on future app updates.

Fitbit Update 05/22/2017: Hi everyone -- I've read through every post in this thread and the major feedback points and concerns can be summarized as the following:

  • General disappointment with the change (no specific details provided)
  • Lots of empty space/more scrolling/clicks required
  • Bottom tiles don't scroll data with days
  • Unable to fully customize top section with tiles from the bottom section
  • Prefer linear UX design
  • Difficult to read/no dark theme available
  • Can't swipe between days, only able to click to scroll through days
  • Can't to resize tiles

Please let me know if there's something specific that is not on this list. I have relayed this information to our Android team and at this time, it doesn't sound like there are any plans to revert access to the old Dashboard.

I know that any change is going to be a little jarring, but please remember to keep your posts respectful and on-topic, per our Community Guidelines. This thread will be better for everyone as a constructive conversation.

Fitbit Update 04/24/2017: Hi everyone -- Beginning with the release of the Android app version 2.48, the new Fitbit app Dashboard with the updated look will be fully implemented. Users will no longer have the option to switch to the old Dashboard design, so I encourage you to check it out if not already using it.

We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services and we appreciate all of the feedback we receive from our customers. We currently do not have any plans to revert this change; you can find more information about the app and how to start using it by clicking here.

Apparently you DO NOT APPRECIATE any feedback from your costumers.  Otherwise you would consider to give us back the option to choose the old version of dashboard. Why does it hurt you to give the option? It would make so many people satisfied.

I am deeply disappointed about this so called costumer services

@JennySue1850, there is a way to get back to the old dashboard.

Look at the instructions here:

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/How-do-I-switch-back-to-old-dashboard-on-the-mobile-Andr...

or in any other post on this way over the last few days, even in this gth

I just tried to download the fitbit 2.47 apk and it downloaded just fine but when I opened the fitbit app it was the new format even though the version stated it was the 2.47 apk version. Apparently fitbit has removed and locked the backdoor. I'm selling my blaze and uninstalled the app from my phone and will not be using any of my fitbits. They are junk to me now.

When are you going to fix the issue of scrolling to previous days and see the correct data instead of showing todays.  I was forced to use this new and totally useless new dashboard and if you're not going to do it right, bring back the old.  Another example of Fitbit never responding. Great customer service???!!!

Look over functionality.....hey Fitbit!, remember the new Coke?

Wow!!  I guess customer satisfaction is not as important as I was led to believe it was.   As stated by myself and apparently others, this new dashboard is not user friendly at all.  Very disappointed in the decision not to revert back to the more efficient dashboard.

mlwalker 1 - you have to go into Account settings where it will give you the option to go back to the old dashboard.

I know we all loved the old dashboard, but rather than continuing to beat my head against the wall, I am looking at other compatible apps. There are lots of them out there, some focused more on exercise and some more for food tracking. So far I have not found a good mix like the old dashboard, but I love my tracker and don't intend to give it up. Any tracker you move to could change their app just like Fitbit has done after you make the purchase.

If if anyone tries a new app that they like, please pass it along. Thanks!

The new update takes away the choice of dashboards

@mandymitchell61 Yes, that is why folks are reverting back to version 2.47 which gives us the option (under advanced settings) to have the old dashboard option.  It works great and I reverted back to it yesterday.

While it's true that you can go back to the old dashboard this way, it also means you're stuck on version 2.47 forever to keep that old dashboard.  So we'll lose out on any bug fixes and new features Fitbit adds to the app over time.

I was given Fitbit One for Christmas and loved it! I'm ready to upgrade and it will NOT be through Fitbit!   will look for another company who has better customer service.

What could it hurt to let your customers, you know - the people who keep you in business, decide which dashboard is "improved"?

It seems I am not alone in my dislike of the new dashboard and I don't like fitbit forcing this IMPROVEMENT on me.

If no plans to modify the new Android dashboard then it spells the deathknell of me having a FitBit. Yesterday and Today show now dates so screenshots taken before/during/after exercise are useless now.

Also when scrolling through days the small tiles stay on current view - sleep, food intake, exercise log.

The new app is totally useless and therefore my Fitbit is too.

You know where you can shove your Android app in its current form - keeping this poilte, but I am VERY angry!!

@BobM2 It doesn't mean you have to stay with that version.  It works fine for the time being if you want the linear format.  One can always update to the latest version at any time. You'll just lose the linear format.  Very easy to accomplish. Once you download version 2.47, it resides on your phone (under downloads) unless you delete it. That way you can update newer versions to try them out. If you don't like that version, delete and install version 2.47, that's already in the download list on your phone.

I'd much rather have the old version, updated or not, than the new one as it currently stands. I left the new version on my tablet (which I really never use for my Fitbit) so I check and see if they ever fix it sufficiently.

I guess I will begin looking for another brand of tracker as this new dashboard is extremely useless to me.

Umm, yeah. No duh.  The point, though, is that if you want to keep the linear format you give up all future updates.  My intent should have been obvious.
