Thanks, everyone for your feedback on the Android dashboard. We're always aiming to improve our user experience and have relayed this information to our team.

There are no plans to revert to the old dashboard. We understand that the app update may not be up to your standards, but we do hope you continue to interact and explore the features.

We have now transitioned everyone onto the new Fitbit app experience. With this new design, we've created a space that is more dynamic, integrated, and highly personalized.

We hope you enjoy using this new dashboard and interface for all your Fitbit needs. For any issues using the new interface, for example bugs you come across, we'd like for you to leave comments in this thread.

Please only report bugs or issues with using the app.

My Fitbit app changed after the latest outage (Morning 7 September NZST)
What did you do to the 'calories in vs out' page?
It used to say 'x calories left' (or possibly 'x calories remaining')
It now have "x calorie goal"

The number that was where 'x calorie goal' is, has been moved to somewhere else or eliminated altogether.
*This is the number I use to successfully lose weight*

Big, massive THUMBS DOWN.

PS: the problem with the water display is still there. It tells me water has been drunk when it hasn't, offsetting by 24 hours. I enter today's water and it pops up on tomorrow's graph bar!

I agree completely - the new design is much less attractive, harder to look at, and my sleep doesn't sync correctly anymore.  Very disappointed, wish they'd go back to the previous version.

After uninstalling reinstalling and waiting 12 hours the app now opens.  Not sure of the cause.

@derpderpderp I assume this GPS message is on the notification panel? Try tapping it. Where does it take you?

tapping it does nothing. if I hold my finger on it, android asks if I
want to block these notifications.

@derpderpderp. I started an event with GPS. I now have the message Connected GPS is running. On the notification panel.

Tapping takes me to Fitbit notification settings under the phone settings.

Have android 8.1. Zon my tablet. Been using zip for two years. New app is a disaster. First, it would not sync app with zip. Called customer service, had to force stop app, remove battery, reinsert battery, try sync again... it worked. Three days later, screen totally changes again. Have to sign into the app. Did so, logged in, but app has nowhere to hit sync and find out my steps and step history. The only thing is a calorie counter, reads the same every day. Tried the app which was also on my phone, also android 8.1. Same new login page where I suddenly have to sign in. And get no way to find steps or sync zip to app to get history. My tablet bluetooth indicates it has found my zip, but the app will not sync. This is a total disaster.  An expensive disaster.

They finally admitted to me the other night they have a problem and they are working on it. One would think those goofballs in San Francisco would be on it by now. At least dumb this new piece of crap and bring back the old one.

Fitbit's solution to my Versa no longer syncing after only 8 months of use is to buy another Fitbit device or buy a new phone. This is ridiculous!!!! My phone's OS is over the required so it should but nope, not at all. I am furious beyond words!!!

Yep they aren't very accommodating to their problem. Lol

I have had nothing but problems since this last update. I've called into customer service and they are denying there is an issue with it which is contrary to my experience and what I've read online and talked about with friends. Common issue is i'm not getting phone notifications to my watch (Ionic) and almost daily it stops the ability to sync. I continually have to try or what i discovered today do a hard factory reset for me to get notifications like the normal functioning watch that it was pre-update. I am very frustrated by the lack of support and customer service as a whole and think Fitbit should be taking responsibility for something that clearly was caused by them. Instead I was just made aware that my watch was 2 months out of its warranty.

Horrible, horrible update - with several bugs.

Also I will add that the hard factory reset worked for less then 3 hrs. I'm in the middle of doing a 2nd one.

Has the feature of using your phone, instead of a Fitbit device, to track steps been removed? I can't seem to connect my phone as a tracking device anymore.

I am truly disappointed my Versa 2. Then I see the adds on Facebook and
want to say BEWARE.

It's beyond acceptable. They have made us feel like it's all our fault knowing it's a bad update. Why in the world would they released it knowing it was garbage is beyond me.
