Notifications don't work from Android Phone

Hi there,

I have an Android phone, specifically the Google pixel 2 XL. Months ago I used my Fitbit Charge 3 and I had it connected properly and I had notifications from my phone coming through. It worked perfectly. Then I deleted the app and stopped using it for a few months and just yesterday I started to use it again. I reconnected everything from scratch and I was able to sync my Fitbit  and phone correctly, however there are NO NOTIFICATIONS coming through.

I am aware that many iPhone users have a similar problem right now. I have reviewed several different forums and followed the steps, such as rebooting my phone, restarting the app, turning off the notifications and then turning it back on, and so on. None of this works.

the fact that I used to work on my phone makes me think that this is really due to a new OS update on my phone or something.

I don't know what else to try.

Does anyone else have an ANDROID phone, or more specifically the Google Pixel 2 XL phone, that they correctly set up to receive notifications on their Fitbit Charge 3?

Looking for "thinking outside the box" solutions, not the typical responses. Thanks!

@Sflia Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!

Let me help you with your Charge 3 not getting notifications from your phone. I can share the following suggestions:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Hopefully someone who owns the same phone can share their suggestions in this thread.

Let me know how it goes.
