My notifications are not coming through on my blaze. I just upgraded my phone the the s8 active, are the phone and watch not compatable? I have already tried everything to reset it and it is still not working. Thanks

I am having the same issue, worked fine with my  S6 edge upgraded to the S8+ (about 6 months ago) and it was working fine at first, did a return (on the fitbit) and was good for a while and now nothing. I did all trouble shooting I can and now it wont receive any notifications. It will be at a year in February I have had it but unsure if I want to get another Blaze. Has this issue been resolved yet?

@LanuzaFitbit

It is curious, notifications work perfectly on the Samsung S8 with the Ionic, but not the Blaze (or Surge), and somehow this is a Samsung issue? Doubtful.

I totally agree.  Tbe only reason I repurchase mine was because a Samsaung representative was in the store and stated she had experience the same problem bit after syncingfor 3days her galaxy s8 edge just begin to start receiving notifications .I read a nother thread where similar thing happened. I feel like you we shouldn't have to be going through this when obviously there is a fix and Fitbit needs to get done for everyone who is having this issue!

I've already returned my Fitbit Blaze and bought a Samsung Gear Fit 2. It
was much cheaper and obviously worked flawlessly with my Galaxy S8.

Sorry, I really wanted to like Fitbit, but wasn't going to get a new phone
for a smart watch.

Hello everyone!

We have received no news on the matter as of yet. As I said before, some users are reporting that the issue has been resolved for them. Perhaps it is something that is being rolled out? I will continue to try and get any news on the matter.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Hello @Firefighter246 and @SunsetRunner.

@SunsetRunner Interesting, In your case, have you tested the three trackers? I'd like to pass that on to the team to see if we can get any updates.

Look forward to your reply.

I have an Ionic, and it works perfectly with my S8. I have outlined my settings in this community.

I own a Surge but do not use it anymore, so I have not tested it - however I can, and will this evening.

If you send me a free Blaze, I would be happy to test that as well. Smiley LOL

This has been over 2 months. It can not be that difficult to send a patch
out to resolve this problem. But what do i know? I know that i am going to
sell this **ahem** and never purchase fitbit again.

I received a software update on my S8 just yesterday and it fixed my Blaze notifications issues and audio issues in my car. If your S8 isn't automatically set for updates then you'll need to do it manually. I'm in the US so I'm not sure how that affects software updates from Samsung, but it's definitely a Samsung S8,S8+,Active issue. This may be a coincidence, but 24hrs ago I publicly asked Samsung on their Twitter page when this issue will be resolved and 14hrs later I had a software update. It can't hurt to try that route if the update I received isn't available to you yet. Good luck!

This is sad wish I read this before buying. Fit bit is sending me a new blaze saying notifications will work on the new one even though the one I have is only a few hours old. But like wtf this needs to be fixed I'm gonna be livid if the new one still dosnt get notifications

About 2 weeks ago, my fitbit blaze quit receiving notifications from my Samsung Galaxy S8.  I have tried turning bluetooth on/off, resetting my tracker, double checked all of my settings -- nothing.  Any suggestions?

I just spoke with Fitbit Customer service just now over the phone and they said that Samsung models Galaxy S8, S8+, and S8 active (which I have) are not yet compatible with Fitbit app! I am not getting any email, text or call notifications on my Fitbit Blaze, but its syncing my info on steps etc from the watch to the app. This sucks!!! I hope the developers work on this ASAP! They said the only thing I can do is friggin wait for a Fitbit app update. Until then, I can't link notifications from my phone to my Blaze watch. =( If they dont resolve this fast, Ill ask for a refund!

Just bought a Blaze to learn about this problem after checking the comparability list. S8+ is on the list. How is this piece of crap any better than the Charge I had before if I can't see notifications?!

My blaze does not even show up in Bluetooth devices on my Samsung Galaxy S8+, is that normal, no notifications at all, I followed all the steps suggested by RobertoFitbit. Do I just need to sell the fitbit on ebay and get Samsung gear?

I have the Samsung 8+.

I have discovered after trying over and over again after having the Blaze for a few weeks that when I pair with my Bluetooth you can pair to Blaze and or Blaze Classic. I started to get my text notifications when I paired both. I didn’t realize until now what was triggering this. I thought I only needed to sync the Blaze Classic. But after reading other posts about the difference between the two I see why I wasn’t getting any notifications when I only had the Blaze Classic paired. The Classic is for the music.

So I unpaired all AGAIN, also on the app.  Only paired to the Blaze without going into settings on my watch which shows the Blaze Classic. I had to put it in the charger for it to pair however. I started to get my text notifications and emails. Not sure about phone calls yet.

You can pair the Classic if you want after, but this is where you have to go to settings on your Blaze and put it to pair. Your Bluetooth on your phone has to show always show Blaze and if you want Blaze Classic.

Hope this helps.
