The Pixel 3 is imminent. Is the Versa compatible with it?

Please please please, make the Charge 2 and Charge 3 compatible with Pixel 3. I currently have the Charge 2 and the Bluetooth can't even recognize it. Not just in the FitBit app but also in the Pixel's list of paired devices. Uninstalling the app doesn't work and trying to reinstall the Charge 2 as a replacement device doesn't work either because the phone won't recognize the FitBit is there...

I can't sync at all. Bluetooth won't even recognize my device exists. I'd have to use my old iPhone to sync but I promised my friend to give my old phone to him, so there won't be any way for me to sync.

Hello @TWDMath. Welcome to the Forums @PaulaBigBallaSh.
@TWDMath Thanks for trying those steps and letting us know that it did work out for you in the end.
@PaulaBigBallaSh, At this moment we do not have any news on the matter.
As long as it fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a possibility that it can work but we cannot guarantee it. Some users of unsupported devices have mentioned that following these steps helps with the syncing.
In the meantime, maybe you could post about it in our Feature Suggestions board so that other users could vote or comment on your idea to show their support. Be sure to read the FAQ to better understand how that board works.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Well apparently the Pixel 2 had no better luck and it's been out a year. It seems like it works for some but not for others, completely unreliable. I wonder why they can't just work on this compatibility issue. There are not THAT many flagship phones at least in the US market. I really miss having my fitbit versa. I really want to get one again but idk if it's worth it.

Hello @Aversauser.
The situation with the Pixel 2, at the moment, is related to Android 9. As you can see in here, our team is aware of a situation with Android 9 that is preventing the Fitbit devices to sync and it is being worked on.
As soon as we have any news on the situation we'll be letting everyone know.
Let me know if there are any further questions.

I'm having similar issues, recently got a new Pixel 3 XL running Android 9 and I cannot get it sync my Versa. I've tried all permutations of restarting bluetooth and the phone with no luck.
The only way I can sync is by putting my watch on the charging base.

Hello @EricaStanoch,
sounds really strange since I just got a Pixel 3XL (coming from a Pixel 2XL) and my Ionic (that is very similar to Versa) works great.
Have you tried to factory reset your Versa?

Hello @Giampi71. Welcome to the Forums @EricaStanoch
As I mentioned above, there is a known issue with Android 9. Some devices that are running Android 9 are having syncing issues. Any updates on the matter we'll be posted in there.
Feel free to reach out with any further questions.

Once I can get my Versa to sync over the USB charging station I'll try a factory reset.
Anyone know how to force the Versa to sync through a bluetooth pairing with a PC or force a sync through the USB charger?

The USB connection is strictly for charging; it does not provide sync capability.

Hello @sfringer and @EricaStanoch.
As @sfringer mentioned, the cable is only for charging.
In regards to syncing with a computer, it depends on the computer that you are using. If you are using a Windows 10 computer you can download the app from the Microsoft Store and sync that way. If it is another Windows version or a Mac computer you have to download and install the Fitbit Connect software and sync that way. You can click here to find instructions on how to manually sync.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Following up on this thread.
I was not successful in downloading the Windows 10 app from the MS store - it said my computer didn't meet requirements.
The only way I was able to sync was turning on my old Pixel and sync with the old phone.
@Giampi71 wins the cookie. I finally was able to do a factor reset on the watch and that has fixed the problem! I'm back in business with my Pixel 3 XL!

Do your text messages and call notifications work? I have the Fitbit charge 2 and the pixel 3. The data uploads fine but no text messages or phone call notifications work.

I just upgraded from the Pixel to the Pixel 3. I used to get call and text notifications on my Alta HR when I had the Pixel. Now that I have the Pixel 3, even after resetting and restarting both devices, I no longer receive call or text notifications.

Welcome to the Forums @RPavlin. Hello @m4rc2009.
@RPavlin Thanks for sharing the steps that you tried to get the notifications work with your Alta HR.
As mentioned before this might be happening because the Pixel 3 is not part of the supported devices list. You could try to follow all of the steps listed in this help article, some users have mentioned that they do work.
@m4rc2009 Thanks for sharing that it is working correctly for you. Hopefully this continues to work without any issues.
Feel free to reach out with any questions.
