Fitbit Update 06/15/18: This issue has been resolved with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.73. If you're still experiencing issues receiving notifications from the Message+ app, I recommend confirming that you're updated to the latest app release and following our notifications troubleshooting tips provided in this help article.

I am closing this thread as the issue has been resolved. If you begin to experience this issue again at a later time, please create another post in the Android Community Forum and reference this thread. Thank you for your continued patience as we worked to get this resolved.

Fitbit Update: 6/13/2018

New version 2.73 has been fully released to all our Android users and you should be able to update your Fitbit app. We have released a fix for Message+ and Signal App notifications.

Hi, everyone!

I noticed many of you reporting that you no longer receive your Message+ notifications to your Versa/Ionic after the Fitbit OS 2.1 update. 

We've escalated this issue to our team for investigation. For the meantime, I recommend using the default texting app on your Android device or any other messaging apps. 

When I have more information, I'll provide that here. Thank you!

Update? I receive notifications but none for text messages even when I change default. This bites.

No updates as of yesterday. The I'm using messages instead of messages plus. It's not consistent but I receive most of my texts. Good luck

No neither one is working......message+ will say it is connected to WiFi
but no notifications still....

Yes, I went with my default messages and it works perfectly with the Ionic. The problem is it's inferior to message +. If there's not a fix for the Ionic and I mean within a week, I'll return  the device and go with a competitor. SMH at Fitbits slow response.

Nope and it is beyond stupid. I've got the versa. Worked fine on charge 2. Shame to punish an upgrade with BS

And how long does it take to fix? They told me to get a smartphone that's
compatible with the update..Not an option!

Switched to T mobile and using their default app, works great.

Samsung native app on Android 7 works, but it's not as good as message+. 

And I'm still not getting calls!!!!

We shouldn't have to change message apps. Especially since message+ worked before and it's been around for a long time with a big carrier.

Agree. And we sure as heck shouldn't need to change providers. That's
insane. Fitbit developers need to get their heads out of their rears and
fix this.

Yes...working for me with the message app. Make sure you change it under
the notifications menu on the Fitbit app. Still hoping they figure out the
message+ issue though because the message app doesn't always work to send
texts to Apple users.

I had this same issue  but then suddenly my phone and the Fitbit app updated and now I can get texts on my watch!

I almost regret buying Versa. I am missing notifications on lot of apps (iPhone user), and even calls. My almost broken Pebble works better than this one.

Hope something happens soon, otherwise it will be an Apple Watch.

What version of Fit bit do you have.and what phone? I have android V7and fitbit .15.

Did you get Oreo v 8 and .20? Thanks.
