Fitbit Update 06/15/18: This issue has been resolved with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.73. If you're still experiencing issues receiving notifications from the Message+ app, I recommend confirming that you're updated to the latest app release and following our notifications troubleshooting tips provided in this help article.

I am closing this thread as the issue has been resolved. If you begin to experience this issue again at a later time, please create another post in the Android Community Forum and reference this thread. Thank you for your continued patience as we worked to get this resolved.

Fitbit Update: 6/13/2018

New version 2.73 has been fully released to all our Android users and you should be able to update your Fitbit app. We have released a fix for Message+ and Signal App notifications.

Hi, everyone!

I noticed many of you reporting that you no longer receive your Message+ notifications to your Versa/Ionic after the Fitbit OS 2.1 update. 

We've escalated this issue to our team for investigation. For the meantime, I recommend using the default texting app on your Android device or any other messaging apps.

Yep I'm having the same problem. It's frustrating! I had to switch my texting app but I like message+ better. I hope they fit it!

I am unable to receive text on message+ either.  Hope this gets fixed soon.

What kind of phone do you have? I have a Samsung phone and it has 2 message apps on it. So I just switched to the other message app and set it as my default

Make sure you go in the fitbit app and choose a default message app in the notifications. They need to fix it. This new update messed things up.

@LWiechertjes, I appreciate you have let me know what you've been said by our Support Team. Tell me, is your issue related to Message+ or are you not receiving any kind of Notification? Would it be possible for you to reply to me with the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far?

@Hcline29, I appreciate you have taken the time to reply, please note that your Versa will not sync nor pair directly through the Bluetooth settings on your phone, instead it uses the Fitbit app. Now, are you having syncing issues or are you not able to set up your Versa? Or, are you receiving Notifications? Please let me know so I can assist you further.

Hi,  I am receiving snapchat, emails, phone calls, any of those..... But still not receiving text messages!!!!!I use message + on my LG G5

I use signal for messaging, and had not been able to receive text notifications since I first set it up on Saturday. This morning I did start receiving notifications, though it is a little inconsistent. Quick reply works for me as well.

I haven't updated it - The firmware is still at 32.32.10.15. I tried reinstalling the versa without wireless as someone suggested, but that didn't help. 

This morning I disabled GPS connection and the Always Connected option in the phone app in interest of battery life. The notifications started after this.

I give up... They better fix this as this is the only reason i upgraded my
fitbit..Not to mention I was told there was going to be an upgrade done in
May allowing Android users the ability to respond to text message via the
versa. Grrrrrrrrrr

Having the same problem. Worked fine before the update with message+. Since update no notifications from message+ go to Versa. I haven't tried switching messaging apps. It worked before update hopefully Fit Bit will send an update to get it working again.

The problem with the firmware version 32.32.10.15 is that you are unable to receive message + notifications.  When will this issue be fixed

I did everything as well. Shutting off bluetooth, notifications and so forth and so on.  Nothing worked.  I did download fit notifications and I am getting text on my versa finally. So hopefully they can fix whatever is going on.  I just got my Versa for Mother's Day and that was one of the main things that I liked about it, was receiving texts.
